Not something you’d want for ultralight hiking/camping. This is a fine tent for a few mile pack-in, or maybe a road-trip stop at a campground.
Set up is easy: Assemble the poles, cross the two poles at the top by putting them through the loops from one corner to the next, stake the inner tent down, cover the tent with the rain fly, and then lash the rain fly to those stakes.
In the posting it shows using your hiking poles to hold up the rain fly flap. I thought that was a great idea. Adds a considerable amount of space doing that.
The guylines (four come with the tent) can be used to hold down the tent, or used to keep the rain fly flaps and hiking pole combo stationary.
There is an abundance of stakes, and so no issue there.

Ok, I really wanted to love this tent, but it falls under the “it’s ok” category. To be fair, I like backpacking and am an avid camper so I am aware that you get what you pay for.
The Pros: The tent is roomy and the fabric is well constructed. I like that it has doors on both ends so nobody has to “crawl over” each other to get out of the tent.
Cons: On the very first set-up, one of the poles cracked when I bowed it to pitch the tent. I’m really careful and take care of my camping gear so I was surprised when this happened. I have used it a few times since, and the crack hasn’t caused any major problems, but it’s only a matter of time.
Would I recommend this? Yes, but only if you aren’t taking it seriously camping. For back yard camping or an occasional night outdoors, it is great. I plan to fix the cracked pole and keep using it.
