   Tent is of quality and durable design while being roomy/spacious and keeping you warm. It is a bit on the pricey side especially that it is not as portable as I expected. It is long and takes up a lot of trunk space in my vehicle and feels bulky/heavy to carry. Not super easy to put back in case after taking down. Have yet to test out the waterproof functionality from a rainstorm. Overall, still a good tent to go prop up at a campsite or use while on travel. I wish it was a bit more portable and lighter to fit in like a backpack.

   I have a few traditional tents, but this is my first pop up for an upcoming trip were I’ll be relocating often. The traditional tents are always going to be lighter and pop-ups will always be heavier and are never meant for backpacking, and any reasonable person already knows these are for convenience for use near a car. As a pop-up, it setup within minutes and packed up even quicker. Traditional tents take me over 10 minutes, and this is all up or down in maybe 3, and that’s in and out of the bag and fly attached, save for staking. The 82″ height is some obvious error or misdirection, but its definitely larger than a 2-person tent in the traditional sense. My 7 year old will stand up in it with room to spare, but i’m 5’7″ and i’m not standing up, but its so much taller and the walls are much more vertical than traditional tents by their nature, so its vastly larger than my NF Wawona 4 or Mountain Hardwear Mineral King 2, which feel especially low now. The best part is the center hook for a light and the large mesh storage area up top. Some tents only have a loop that require you to provide a carabiner or hook to attach a light, so another point to pop-ups that aren’t concerned with saving every gram or ounce. And the mesh storage is larger than my 6 person tent, allowing you to put some much larger items up there. Only drawback is the that zipper is hard to operate because the path is so round, and the little vestibule thing is kinda tiny and pointless. The components are decent quality, and it doesn’t feel too solid for years of use, but the low price makes its reasonable for what it is. Great tent overall if you’re new to camping and want something easy so you aren’t messing around while your family stands by.

   This tent went up very fast as described. You straighten out the four legs, and then push down on the top and the main tent is set up. The fly is slippery to put on, but once in place, a clip on either side secures it. The zippers seem pretty good quality. On the top of the fly, you can secure the ventilation flaps if the rain is blowing around; otherwise, there are small posts that you can use to secure the top flaps open to allow more air flow (see the two labeled pictures – the first picture shows it closed, and the second one open). It is easy to roll up the door flaps and secure them with the clips. At nearly 12 lbs by my measurement, this is not a backpacking tent! Plus, since the poles are integrated into the tent, somebody would have to carry most of the weight for two people. I can’t imagine carrying 10 lbs of 2-person tent, while the other person carries the fly and stakes. In my opinion, this is a quick-setup car camping tent. It’s a snowy and rainy winter day, so I set up the tent in my living room. They describe the tent as a private blackout tent due to the coating on the inside of the fly. I’d say that’s true. Judging from the coating, I think you could expect a lot of moisture to condense on the fly and it would be very wet in the morning just from the condensation from the occupants’ breath. You should expect to have to hang it out to dry before you pack it up, or hang it up outside as soon as you get home to avoid mildew. I did a quick measurement from outside the tent, and I found the interior to be around 6’ 6” long and about 56” wide. The printed description says it is 59.4” long, which is not correct, and would only fit a person under 5’ tall. Someone made a mistake in converting meters to feet. In sum, this is an interesting product: it is very easy to set up, and it would be dark inside with the door flaps closed. It’s also heavy and will take time to dry after using it.
