   I upgraded to this tent this year and it has been lovely! I can stand up it and stretch out and not touch the ceiling or walls! And it’s dry! I was in heavy nonstop rain and not one leak; also held up in pebble-sized hail. The poles are very sturdy and I have no doubt it’d do fine in high winds. I also have no problem putting this up- I’m a solo camper.

   Just as described! Huge. Easy to set up (watch the tutorial video, it is super helpful). I’m a small girl and was able to set it up on my own in about 20 minutes for first time. It also looks great, I love the huge window, it gets lots of sun. Very functional interior. It rained hard the second night I had it up, and it stood up well! Remember your guylines 🙂

   We had the copper canyon for years and finally gave it to our daughter. We loved it so much that we went with the jade canyon as our replacement and couldn’t be happier! It’s so roomy and the windows extending down and extra support for the rain cover with ease is amazing!!

   I contemplated buying this tent for over a year. We didn’t set it up when it arrived in Dec., but on our first use in June, way outside the return window. Right out of the bag, one of the roof poles had a broken elastic cord. We had to piece it together and finagle it to get it to stay in place. A pretty good wind kicked up while it was set up, and the other roof pole bent in half, rendering it useless for the rest of our trip. We had all the guy lines staked out and everything set up properly. I contacted Eureka, and they were amazing to work with. They answered email quickly, and sent 2 replacement roof poles free of charge and free shipping. They arrived within 3 days of emailing me the notification that they were replacing the poles. Pros – standing room from edge to edge. Big screen windows – can be used as a screened shelter when windows aren’t covered. Great place to escape the sun and bugs. Lots of airflow between rain fly and roof. Cons – poles could be made of stronger material, especially for a tent that’s almost $500. I would give this tent five stars all day if the poles had been better. I would give it six stars for Eureka customer service. I’ll update after the next trip using the replacement poles. Hopefully I just got a bum batch of roof poles. Update – used it 4 times over the summer/fall. The replacement poles are still perfect. I think I may have not had the rain fly corner poles in the correct position where the reinforced areas are (you have to really stretch the rain fly) but it tore near where the poles make contact. I was able to repair with duct tape, and I always put another type cover over the rain fly anyway, particularly in rainy areas. I suspended clear tarps off the sides on a particularly rainy trip, and it stayed dry as a bone and I was still able to leave windows open and see outside. The tent is ample for two cots, a small table, and two camp chairs. I love it, but still giving 4 stars for the weak fabric the rain fly is made of.

   LOVE this tent!! Bought for my two kids and I. First 4 days was great, then it rained and I was highly impressed how well the tent handled the storms. Zero water in the tent!! Don’t get me wrong, the floor was like a water bed because water under the tent. But – the floors are thick and our 3 cots never busted a hole!! Would highly recommend!! Easy set up and tear down – did by myself.

   We snowbird to Tucson in winter. Decided to try a tent this year as we have a small motorhome and find the tent to be a great place to store things we don’t need often. It has been up a month. It has not rained but a sprinkle so cannot speak to that, however it has withstood some wind warning type winds. The only reason for a 4 rating is fine dust gets in the tent in wind as it gets under the rain fly and in thru the tent roof. Nothing major but items do have a very light dust coating.

   It was easy to setup, using a youtube video the company has. I used drill screw in type stakes as the supplied stakes were a little iffy to me. Very roomy, can easily get our full frame sized electric bikes inside. Very light weight but sturdy construction.

   I’ve only gone camping once with this, but I keep on top of my reviews and will update this if anything goes wrong. This tent is fantastic: very spacious, durable, stylish, practical and lets in lots of light (when you want it). The only downside is that the case is kind of fragile and it ripped on day 1 of me trying to put the tent away. However, all these tents have a major problem with packing them back into their original bag and that’s just life–the company replaced the bag for me immediately with a similar one, so I can’t complain.

   Review of: **Eureka! Family-Tents Jade Canyon X** (6-person model) The Good: -Very easy to set up and they even have the water-proof instruction sheet sewn into the carrying case (if you need it, which you won’t after setting it up the first time) -The pole joint connectors are labeled, making it easy to know which pole goes where -Poles have a really nice anodized orange finish – they look really cool and I suspect will hold up well -Easy to close up the window panels inside -You can leave the rain cover off and have a view of the night sky through the mesh top -The rain fly has color-coded webbing so you know which way to install it -Rain cover extends over the edges nicely to keep rain from dripping on the tent sides -The corners of the rain fly have little pockets to store the ropes to tie it down – much nicer than having the ropes get all tangled up or misplaced -I am 6-1 and can easily stand inside with room to spare The Bad: -One of the female clips on a bottom corner was slightly broken, but a little duct tape will keep it from not holding the male clip end -The tent is a little heavy, but not a problem for car-camping The Bottom Line: I’m really impressed with just about every aspect of this tent. It was very simple to set up (you can do it with one person if you need to), and one up, it is very stable and tight, no loose panels. The rain fly is great if you need to keep moisture away from the tent and it goes on and off very easily and quickly. You can get cheaper tents than this, but I don’t think you’re going to get the same quality as you’ll get here with this Eureka Jade Canyon tent.

    I’ve used it on 3 camping trips and I’m very satisfied. It’s fairly easy to set up. The rain fly design is great. After 2 storms, there was no water in the tent. Excellent quality
