Spent last weekend training on Dartmoor with the Sea Cadets, used the Bothy everyone warmed up nicely and we continued a map reading class in there, while outside the wind was horizontal !

I believe it would easily shelter a trekking family and keep them warm enough. The built-in vents and window are useful. 5 stars!

The shelter is large inside. It says 8-10 man. As a paddler, I expect anybody getting in it to be wearing a buoyancy aid, but given that I suspect you still might get 8 in it. What’s really great about it, though, is how small it packs down. It’s replacing a Vango 4 man group shelter, and despite being double the size inside it packs down to about the same size as the smaller shelter. Feels well-made, too. Very happy.
