   I selected this roof top tent for its low profile when it’s mounted and it’s large footprint when unfolded. The tent is approximately 5” tall when you remove the ladder. I routinely park in parking garages with clearances of 6’8” and this tent mounted to factory cross bars was one of the few tents that meet that clearance height. I have to remove the ladder to stay below the height which is quickly removed by two bolts. It took approximately 45 minutes to mount the tent, but once it’s mounted it’s very quick and easy to mount. Other fold out RTTs are about 12” tall and over 150 lbs. While the price of this tent is higher, it allows you to leave it mounted during an entire camping season since the aluminum exterior protects the tent. The width is the same as a queen size bed with it being close to 7.5’ long. First trip it got down to high 40s in temperature and I had a window open since it was still plenty warm. I also ordered the associated annex directly from the manufacturer and they were very responsive. Overall the tent feels well made and the slim profile makes it easy to store and mount.

   I finally got to use this Roof Top Tent (RTT) that I purchased last last year and this tent is definitely worth every penny! I have a 2006 Toyota 4-Runner and this is actually the 3rd RTT that I’ve purchased (the first two I tried I was fortunately able to return through whatcampingtent.com) and this one is by far the best one I’ve used! Setting up is as easy as shown on the videos and closing it is a piece of cake as well! We actually got a little bit of rain when we went camping and the inside of the tent was completely dry!

   What I love most about this RTT is its design. Because of the weight I can’t install or take off the tent with out another person so I just leave this RTT installed on the top of my SUV rather than taking it on and off. This RTT design actually makes my SUV look better in my opinion. Also, with all of the rain we had this past fall/winter, the tent never got wet since no water got through the hardshell the entire time this RTT has been mounted on my SUV.

   So far this RTT is definitely worth the buy and I highly recommend it!

   Totally loved camping in this for the past two weeks!!! However, only two adults would fit in this tent comfortably. If we had to fit it two little ones in with us for whatever reason, it would have been very un-awesome.

   Prefect lightweight low profile RTT! This is our first rooftop tent (RTT). We researched and looked at numerous RTTs. We found that this one would fit the particular applications that we were looking for which was an aluminum hard shell design with side opening features. This is our first rooftop tent (RTT). We researched and looked at many others, but found none others to be in this exact configuration. We ordered a small which was tight,but adequate for two people. Customer service was excellent and prompt. We would highly recommend this product and company.
