   I can’t say enough about this tent and the company that sells it!! Wow!! The tent is moderately heavy duty. The floor tarp is sturdy–I was camping in sage brush with some rocks and it held up fine. The zippers are all heavy duty (neoprene?) and are reasonably easy to connect and zip. There is a ton of room inside with plenty of room to stand up and move around. I had an oversize cot, a 3×3 table, a recliner camp chair and plenty of bagged gear inside. There was still plenty of room to move around! It holds heat moderately well. I used a propane lantern and it warmed up pretty quickly. Where I was camping, temps got down to the low 40s. It held up to strong rainstorms and wind. The biggest selling point for me was the ease of setup and take down. It took about 30 minutes to setup by myself (20 minutes with a friend) and the same amount for take down. The directions are clear. When I ordered it, I had a special request for shipping–the company was responsive (within 24 hours) and was able to help me out. Would be nice to have more vendors like this on whatcampingtent.com. On the mild downside, it is heavy in the bag (50-70lbs est. in the bag)–if you have back issues, keep that in mind. If you haven’t used rope tighteners properly in the past (me), setup isn’t covered in the directions–a quick Youtube helped me out. It is somewhat of a novelty so lots of folk will stop by and ask questions and ask to see inside. Have your whatcampingtent.com link handy to share with folk.    We traveled across country using g the tent to camp in and it was great! We first tested it in the backyard when it was cold. We bought a little wood stove to heat it and it was great. The tent isn’t big enough for 4 cots and the wood stove so we used 2 cots and 2 air mattresses. It was cozy. The tent stayed warm the whole night. When traveling over the summer we were sleeping 4 in the tent (2 adults and 2 kids). We all used air mattresses and sleeping bags and it was perfect. We had space to walk around without constantly stepping on someone’s bed or having to move them. There was plenty of space for all of our bags and more with room to spare. Quite a few of the nights sleeping it rained and some water got in, even though we sprayed them with a waterproofing spray, most of it seemed to come in from the flap over the bottom zipper. So we will definitely spray that more to see if it helps. It was kind of hot in the tent during the summer time and I wish there was a couple windows higher up to allow the heat out but that probably won’t work too well in the winter. The windows in the bottom section worked good enough. The tent does take a bit longer than a nylon tent to dry but that isn’t too bad. We just set it up in the barn for a couple days out of the weather. The floor was easy to sweep and decent enough to mop up the mudd we tracked in so that’s great! It is heavy so keep that in mind. But it is pretty simple to set up and take down! The loop on the pole was great for a later or flashlight to get light in it! We love the tent!

   I did watch a few solo assembly videos prior to my own attempt, and found the process exceedingly easy with my 5m model. If you can swing a hammer, use some visual/ spatial reasoning, and can read then you will have your tent up and running within 15 minutes. With the center and door frame poles set in, the guy lines shore up the tent rather handily. The materials from the floor to the peak are well made. Stitching is well done. The zippers are of a large size making it easy for anyone to handle, as well as slide a cable/ luggage lock through for safety. With nearly 200 sqft of floor space for the 5m model I have plenty of room for my hunting gear, provisions, queen sized air mattresses or a handful of cots should friends and family join in, plus the addition of my wood stove. The ventilation works quite well, and everything zips up snugly when the temperatures drop. My one qualm on this excellent tent is that the chimney hole is precut, though this is an easy work around for my smaller woodstove. Overall, this is a great piece of camping gear which will likely give me many seasons afield in all weather conditions.

   This was the 1st time I used this tent with a small wood stove. It says it is built for it, I even used a fire proof mat with it. The mat itself was completely u. Damaged. The tent underneath the mat melted. It only took as few minutes and myself and son had to rush out of the tent because I could smell the tent burning. EVEN WITH EXTRA PRECAUTION this tent did not perform as expected or advertised. Highly disappointed!
