There are times when you need a stronger securing method to tie down your tent or tarp than a simple stake. this kit gives you 4 lag-screw-caliber stakes, a driver bit for your 1/4 inch impact. and a hook-like implement to pull the stakes out. A bag is included. Each stake has a plastic head with metal washer to fasten your line to. These are loose parts and just slide down the length of the screw. I tried installing one in semi-frozen March New England soil, using an impact driver. It went in fine, and was exceptionally sturdy. I could not pull it out, either by hand or with the furnished hook. I confess I had been skeptical that the threads might be too shallow, but nope – they held firm. Bottom line is if you need stronger anchors these make a good choice. you will need an impact driver to install and remove them.

Great tent stakes! They hold things down well and the tool makes them super easy to remove when you need to.

I liked the concept of these tent stakes – with the glow in the dark ability and the ability to use a drill to screw them into the ground. Obviously that may not be feasible when camping, but I got these more for around the house when we have canopies set up for summer parties. The stakes are threaded like a screw and include the drill bit to screw them into the ground, also comes with a stake puller, though not sure how well that would work if they are screwed in – may depend on the ground.
I haven’t actually used these yet since we are in the middle of winter, so this review is based on my initial observations. They do seem to be sturdy and well made, definitely not like the chintzy stakes that bend when you hammer them into the ground. These seem like they will work well and will be easy to install and to remove. I think these will hold anything very well and due to their glow in the dark ability and thickness are extremely versatile for a multitude of items that may need to be anchored.
5 stars for now, if anything changes, I’ll update my review.

I love that they include the bit to use a drill motor for placing these stakes! Not only that, it has a magnet in it, so you’re not going to drop or slip off the stake while you’re placing it!
The points are quite sharp! I actually fear the bag won’t last long, but I think I’m going to get more with the case.
I camp on some rocky ground once or twice per year and I cannot wait to try these there! For now, I’ve only tested them in my yard AND it has been raining a lot lately so my ground isn’t hard at all. So it’s hard to know how they’ll actually do on hard ground.
I really love the glow-in-the-dark aspect! Gotta mark those “drunk traps” (tent guy lines)! lol
Oh, they ALSO include a handle for pulling them back out of the ground. They’re also pretty comfortable to grab if you’re pulling them by hand.

These stakes are excellent. We do a lot of camping in the mountains and the ground can be pretty hard in spots. I typically use a mallet with metal stakes, which work okay, but sometimes you have to really pound them in. Using these will a drill with the included bit is a game changer. They zip right in and hold well. I would recommend having different kind of stakes to use in different types of ground, as strait stakes this this are great for the harder ground, but if you are on a sandy surface you would want the ticker stakes with the texture on them to keep them in better. Like anything else, you want to use the best tool for the job!

These stakes seemed like a great way to hold down a large tarp, and the first time they were used was great. The ability to use a drill to get through hard dirt and secure a rope to them worked pretty well.
A second attempt in softer dirt was futile. The stakes aren’t long enough to really grip the ground, even at an opposing angle if the ground is wet or in a wooded area with more composted topsoil. Attaching a rope of any significant diameter and tying it off is pretty tricky too, as the “handle” at the top of the post isn’t wide enough to accommodate a strong rope.
Bottom line – works fine if the ground is hard/compacted and your rope is thin/narrow. Otherwise, a long piece of bent rebar is a better option.

Finally got to use these on a camping trip we took recently. Much better than the stakes supplied with our tent. We have a big square pop up tent, so the wind hits it pretty good. These stakes held up great from setup to take down.

These are great for hard dirt when you’ve got the drill/impact driver to install them the screw way. Haven’t tried to hammer them in as that’d gall the hex head then the driver wouldn’t fit. Comes with a magnetic hex tip that fits them and a little puller. The puller metal is a bit flimsy and if you screw them in you’ll probably need to screw them out or you’ll bend the puller. These work great for tents and light duty. Only upgrades I would want would be metal top holders and puller handle, because the plastic is only so strong, and for them to be a couple inches longer. A couple holes in the top hook plastic would be nice too for feeding paracord, and those were easy enough to drill/melt on my own. They come with a little bag to hold them all as well, but they’ve fit in my stake pack fine without it. They work great and are a value at this price to insure you can keep your tent, or maybe your dog lead, secured down on hard ground.
