   I was incredibly excited for these as I am
   Camping my way across the country.

   The first stop when I went to take them down, one section on one of them wouldn’t unscrew.

   The second stop 2 of the plastic sleeves broke. I threw them away at that point.

   They are a great idea if they were better made.

   These seem to be very good quality poles. I’ve only used them a few times and they’ve held up well so far. They’re lightweight but study, easy to set up and solid. I’ve been using them on the porch of my tent to keep the flaps raised, and it’s worked well for me so far. Good poles.

   I got these to prop up my tent “doorway” when camping. They’re super tall, sturdy and propped it up perfectly. I plan to use them next camping trip to hitch up some tarps to make an outdoor shelter now that I’ve tested their sturdiness.

   4 section pole telescopes from 31” to 94” by twisting one section relative to the other. once locked in place, they stay in place. removable rubber ball at the top protects your tarp / tent fabric. Underneath is a metal spike for use through a grommet. Bottom end has a rubber end cap. comes with 4 stakes and 4 rope tie-downs. metal is sturdy, appropriate thickness. Finish is a uniform matte black. Label along the shaft indicates appropriate direction to twist to obtain the desired effect. Overall, I really like the poles, they are comparable to the popular brand at a lower price point, but the bag is too tight in girth. After trying to repack everything for several frustrating minutes I found there is exactly one way to precisely position the poles and accessories which will permit the zipper to fully close see photo). Adding literally $0.02 of fabric to the bag would make it vastly easier to quickly repack. As I am a big fan of fast setup and tear down, and expect my gear to facilitate that along with having acceptable storage included with the purchase vs. improvising something else that works better, this bag fit was beyond annoying. In contrast, the popular brand, which I also own and use, comes with a hassle-free storage bag. Again, these poles themselves work great and seem of good quality. Stakes and tie-downs were satisfactory. Qualified recommendation; if you find a better storage bag it would be 5 stars.

   I’ve been using this set of four telescoping tarp poles to set up a shade and rain fly when we camp at Padre Island National Seashore, and they’ve held up well so far. They’re made from aluminum, so they’re light enough to carry easily, but they still feel solid and don’t flex under load like thinner poles I’ve used in the past. The telescoping function works smoothly, and the twist locks hold securely as long as you give them a firm tighten. If you’re too gentle with the twist, the poles can slip when there’s a lot of tension on the tarp. Fully extended, they reach about 7.6 feet, which gives us plenty of headroom and airflow under the tarp. The rubber caps on top are a smart touch—no tearing grommets or poking holes in the fabric. The set comes with a carry pouch, which is basic but functional. It keeps the poles together in the back of the SUV, though a strap or handle on the bag would’ve been nice. I haven’t seen any corrosion or damage after several coastal trips, but I make a habit of rinsing them off and letting them dry after each use.

   This is a nice set of Telescoping Tarp Poles from HIKERBRO. They are light and easily adjust. They adjust from 2′ 5 1/2″ to 7′ 9″. The twist lock holds in place tight. the tips have a rubber ball to slip over the metal tip to keep the tarp hole locked into the pole. The downside to the tip cover is it is a little short making it hard to get on and off. They came with 4 guy lines, and 4 Nail type tent stakes, and a nice, zippered case. The tent stakes are much better than the cheap aluminum stakes that come with most tents. Great set here and would definitely recommend.
