   Just what I wanted: a light enough but storm worthy shelter that will fit my large dog and I. Its not a traditional tent but I’ve heavily used a smaller similar bimid thats two faults this has accounted for already. Its appreciably bigger and line tie outs for bad weather. On digital scale with everything 2.25 lbs. For context my rab element 2 is 2.10 lbs but is much smaller and uses less stakes. My rei half dome 2 all in is about 6 pounds. My rei ASL 2 is all in around 7.5 pounds. If you can stake it out , bring a gound cloth and aren’t afraid of spiders etc its great. If pitched properly the ridge line will have no issues shedding rain/snow. Size wise a true 2 person ‘tent’. Could bring wife and 85 pound german Shepard, not a third person. I can sit up comfortably in the front 6ft 250lbs. The color ordered is closer to olive green almost more brown than green. Much happier than the medium light green some stock images show. I recommend this product with a ground sheet and a few extra stakes. With good anchoring I’ve survived storms in worse shelters.

   Very nice shelter. Used for a 5 day trip in autumn and rode out a pretty nasty thunderstorm including hail one night. Stayed dry inside, nice footprint, plenty of room for myself and one other plus packs and boots. I don’t carry or use trekking poles so just throw it up and guy the top parts out to a ridgeline I bring for the purpose (35’ of mule tape is usually plenty where I camp, and is very lightweight). Overall if you’re okay with sleeping on the ground and no bug netting, this is a very nice shelter and I’d recommend it. Easy to pitch, sturdy, lightweight and fairly compact. It’s a step up from the 10×10 tarp I used to use, and the zipper door gives it a bit more weather and rain resistance than an open tarp has. If you don’t have or use trekking poles, it can definitely be pitched with a ridge line, or you can cut sticks to length as indicated on the size markings on the side of the tarp. Personally I like it better with a ridge line since you don’t have the poles inside the tent. Much more open feel and still plenty sturdy. I took about half the stakes out of the bag, and added the ridge line for a slight weight savings over the listed weight.

   The printing on the fabric is on the INSIDE of the tent and REVERSED. (making it hard to set up trekking poles) I am not sure if the entire fabric is reversed or they just printed and sewed the wrong side. For 100 dollars, NOT happy.

   Very nice tent. I like the size to weight ratio. some of the stitching is a little loose at the attachment points, but not bad (nothing a little seam sealer couldn’t fix). No leaks and seems to handle wind very well.
