- 【Non-slip & Luminous】The metal tent tip with a removable newest luminous tip cover, glow in the dark, made of TPR insulation material, can prevent lightning strike. It can hold up the tent space when supporting the center of the tarp, effectively eliminating punctures while holding the tarp firmly in place to prevent collapse. Got these to put up a canvas fly on the side of the vehicle. They are light and pack down well. The problem is that when they are fully extended, they have “screw locks” like many tripods do, and in this case, they just don’t lock down solidly enough. Once some weight and tension gets on them, they had a tendency to slowly collapse, which is NOT helpful. I’ve had to resort to zip ties or gaffer tape to keep them extended.
If you don’t mind that bothersome issue, they are fine.

The locking mechanism is horrible. They do not lock in place. I had to drill holes in the poles and place a nut and bolt in them to keep them from collapsing.
Buy something else.

I focused on the rigid quality of stainless steel (compared to aluminum) without realizing that these poles don’t telescope to lock rigidly together. In fact, they only have a thin plastic collar that provides minimal friction around the poles. I expect that they collapse under the weight of a tarp or a minimal wind gust.

Total piece of junk won’t clamp thin
I would give a zero if able. Now have to decide if the hassle of send it back is worth it.
