Stake down the vestibule with tent stakes and keep it tight let it far away from the mesh, and make sure the gap between the ground and the vestibule is enough for airflow. Or you can gather the vestibule in the clear night. Remember not to let the curtain or the vestibule cover the mesh door which will cause heavy condensation

Got this with plans to try it out before Philmont next summer; used at scout weekend camping last week. Loved how tiedowns were reflective cord! It was new in the bag and I wish I’d have taken it out of the bag to let it off gas a day or two first, but not intolerable. First night: I was iffy on it. Rained so the ‘roof’ was damp on the inside, seemed awfully short with my (thick) inflatable air mattress. Second night: got smart enough to loosen the tie downs and extend my hiking stick more. MUCH better. Also discovered that if (it’s not raining and) you toss the rain fly back over the top of the tent, and adjust the location of the tiedown outside the door so it’s more out of the way, it worked much better. I faced my door away from the scouts so I could sit up, and lean out the open door a bit when getting dressed, that worked better. With thick (5″) mattress and maybe not extending hiking stick as far as possible, it was hard to sit up in bed and touch toes without hitting the top of tent… so if using it somewhere that rained a lot, that would be tedious to be trying to avoid touching the damp top of the tent and I’d probably try the 2-hiking-pole model. Next time I will think to put my foam sit pad outside the tent door to kneel on. Also liked that it had enough room next to me for my pack, but also plenty of room in vestibule for pack and then some. All in all – well worth the $.

I used this tent for a week long excursion and it saved me from a couple of downpours and stayed dry inside. It’s better if you can suspend the top with a rope instead of a pole because the pole cuts down on the size of the entrance quite a bit. I just used a stick i found, not a trekking pole. Expect a decent small tent and get out and use it. I’m 5’9” and it was plenty big enought for me to sleep in. No room for much else but you do have the covered vestibule to keep extra gear dry.

So far, I’ve only used this tent once. I brought it with me on a 4-mile hike/camping trip with the Boy Scouts. I let my 12-year-old carry it (I carried the larger tent), but I slept in it. It sets up quickly and easily. It takes some fiddling to get the support ropes in a good angle to hold up the tent as high as it can go, but it all worked well. I bent one of the aluminum stakes pushing it into the ground, but it was easy to straighten. It had good room for one person, though my son got sick in the night in his tent, and shared this tent with me for about 6 hours. Just enough room for two (1 adult, 1 large child) to squeeze in together. We did manage to brush up against the sides, so condensation got on the sleeping bag. But I think that wouldn’t have been an issue if I had managed to sleep in it alone as intended. I got the tent on a flash sale ($42), and am thrilled at the value for such a light and easy-to-use tent. I’m considering buying two more for my sons to use on their future boy scout hikes.

this will keep you pretty dry if and when needed. very lightweight, however not so very much recommended for a very tall person, im just about 6’2” and its a little hard to get in and out of.
other wise nice product.

This is an edit.
Do not expect to get it all back into the bag, after a 1/2 hour my friends and I just stuffed it into the back pack.

The good things is that it was just under 2.5 pounds out of the box and that was with the original tent pegs. I wanted to like this tent but I returned it for 1 main reason. The stake out points are in the wrong spots by design. If you could change where they were it would be a great low cost backpacking tent

2+lbs with pegs and storage bag. I replaced the pegs with titanium units. Ditched the bag and stuff in pack. Weight well under 2lbs . Used once… so far so good.
The placement of hiking pole inhibits access a bit. Vestibule is large enough for pack and boots.

This tent look cool but after just one night in rain I can clearly see that this is not water proof and I have water in every corner of my tent I don’t recommend you to buy this I’m tired of getting fooled by whatcampingtent.com that was the last thing I buy on whatcampingtent.com ….

Good tent. I ended up buying a Big Agnes Copper Spur bc it was freestanding. This is nice since it uses poles you’re already carrying, however, it requires softer ground to stake it or the two rock method. Sometimes it’s hard to find enough rocks or I just want to set up camp easy and go to sleep.
It’s definitely lightweight and I had no problems with moisture. I just am too spoiled for this kind of tent after walking 15 miles.

Took on a three night backpacking trip in the Uinta Mountains. It held up fine the first rain storm but as more came through the mountains, water just came through the fabric. Used my emergency blanket to keep the water from soaking me and my bag. small lightweight and fairly easy to setup but I would never buy again. May bea fine tent if its not going to rain.
