   I ordered this Happy Travel 4-Person Dome Tent for my son, who does short camping trips with his buddies. He doesn’t have much experience with tent setup, so I wanted something easy to put up and take down. This tent fits the ticket! It is very easy to set up, and the directions are good. He is 6 feet, which is not too small for him and a buddy. I think four large people would find this quite cramped, but it is perfect for two or maybe three people, depending on their size. Overall, this is a great quick tent.

   My son will be moving out of our cabin and into his own tent at camp this year. I wanted a tent that was big enough for him to have a separate area for sleeping and his clothes/books/lamps etc and this is great. Easy to set up, seems waterproof but we always spray and maintain them throughout the year. Seems like it is durable and will be a nice first tent for my 10 year old.

   Decent little tent. Its fabric is adequate but didn’t blow me away. Setup is basic tent poles and isnt hard. The bag that it comes in is pretty thin and that could be a problem if it rips, which I think could be really easy. That was something that’s a bigger issue than some might think. But overall, for a basic small family or couple comping tent it’s great!

   I spent a good half hour setting up this tent in my living room to make sure it isn’t a stinker. I do a LOT of backpacking and camping. This is not the tent I would pack in. It weighs almost 10lbs. There are better options for light 4 man tents. (kelty) The setup wasn’t very intuitive, but it has instructions sewn into the bag so you can figure it out. It would be much faster with 2 people setting it up. The I’m a little worried about small bugs getting in as the mesh is more open than most tents I own. Might be open enough to let small gnats or noseeums or maybe really small mosquitoes in. Haven’t put it to the test yet tho. It has a waterproof tarp built in, so that’s cool. It is very roomy compared to most 4 man tents I own. My rule of camping is divide the number of people the tent is intended for by 2. i.e. 4 man tents is good for 2. A 2 man tents is good for 1, etc. This seems like it would fit 3 people pretty easily without their gear inside the tent, or 2 with their gear. It was easy to take down. A little difficult to squeeze it back into the bag. All in all, seems like a solid good tent, but I wouldn’t pack it in anywhere unless you have a horse or llamas or goats to carry it. Probably perfect for driving somewhere and setting up a tent by the car… As long as bugs can’t get through the screen.

   From covered and sun free to stargazing, this is the tent to do it all. My wife and I aren’t mobile enough to go off camping anymore, but we have a great view of the Sacramento river and can now enjoy it all year round. The tent took less than 5 minutes to set up, and it was so easy. The tent is light enough for backpacking, so toting it around is a breeze. And speaking of breeze, this tent gives you total ventilation, if you want. My wife and I set up a couple chairs and a table we used for our USB powered air conditioner fan. The rain cover kept the hot sun off my wife while allowing great ventilation. Our dog Daphne enjoyed the sleeping bag we laid out for her. The head room really makes the roomy tent feel even roomier. At night, we took the cover off and had a panoramic view of the stars. When it comes to taking down the tent, it’s even easier than the set up. Maybe next week we will roll out our power station and watch some t.v. I’ve owned a lot of tents and can honestly say, this is my favorite. It’s a pleasure to carry, set up , and enjoy. Given the quality of materials and design engineering, the price is excellent. All those things make this tent/spare room Highly Recommended

   I have owned many tents over the years. This one is at the top of the list. With out the rain fly it is perfect for these hot summer nights with the sides and top letting air flow through. It was easy to set up and it actually fit back into the carry bag. This is now my go to car camping tent.
