This pop-up sunshade is just the right size for two people, and because it folds down to a compact form factor it doesn’t take up much space in the trunk of a car. Set up is pretty much instant. You just pull it out of the carry bag and it pops into place. When fully expanded it’s just big enough to provide shade when you’re out in the sun all day. Construction quality is good and for the price this is a good value.

Super lightweight and portable, this tent sets up in an instant—almost too fast. The moment I took it out, it popped right open before I had a chance to track how it was folded. The instructions are printed on the carrying bag, but are practically useless. Apparently not written by a native speaker, they provided no help in figuring out how to take it down. Without proper guidance, collapsing it turned into a frustrating struggle.
I nearly gave up and threw the whole thing away, but fortunately, someone familiar with similar tents helped wrestle it back into submission. If you get one it might be a good idea to restrain it from opening too quickly and take a moment to note how it folds before allowing it to set up.
Once assembled, it does provide decent shade and packs up small enough to carry easily. However, the poor instructions and tricky takedown process knock off a couple of stars. The company should really invest in better instructions to save users the headache while they are at the beach (yes I know that there are instructions and video on the product site, but not very useful when you are alone and trying to fold it up at the beach)
