I do not write many product reviews, but this beach tent is great. We just used it today. It is easy to set up, provided lots of shade for our family, and did well in the wind. I highly recommend it. We had it sent to our relative’s house at the beach with the intention of leaving it there, but we are taking it back home with us!

It provides good shade but it does not go very high since the poles are not super tall. We only used it once in the sand on the beach. We were not able to put it up in the backyard like we had hoped for shade in the backyard because we would’ve had to use the steaks through the sandbags and make holes in them in order to get it to stay up. There’s nowhere to attach the steaks to like on other similar items. We do like that it comes compact in a very small duffel bag, and it is very easy to set up.

The reason we wanted a sandbag beach tent was because the bent-pole beack tents just always seem to get damaged in transport or storage. When we first set this one up, I was pleasantly surprised at how East it was and then the wind started blowing and the durability of the sandbag arms, also surprised me.
The only bad thing is… it takes a bit of engineering to know where to place the sandbags to get the tent straight and stable.

read the reviews and pay attention to the 1 stars. product is defective and didn’t look like the pictures. mine was used and was delivered with missing pieces, dry leaves, and wrong shape. of course by the time they deliver, it’s already pass the return date. What a waste of money and I can’t believe whatcampingtent.com is letting this happen to so many customers.

The tent we received appears to be missing one of the sections where you load the sand. Instead of 8 legs, ours has only 7 which was rather confusing in determining the positions for putting it up. The listing shows 8 legs, so I’m fairly certain one is missing. In the video, you can see the loose fabric flapping where I believe a leg should go. Other than that, it seems to be working. It’s important to note that it takes a lot of sand to hold it firmly in place. The extra anchor point would have helped that.
