   The Big Agnes Bunkhouse 6 is worth the $$$! Love that it is lighter weight than my previous tent. Very easy to set up. Took me about 45 minutes from out of the box to full set. Set up will go quicker with use. Like that the storage bag is a backpack. Easier for me to handle. Need to purchase tarp poles to extend the vestibule.

   I own and used both the 4P and 6P versions of this tent and absolutely love them! Two features in particular sold me, the spacious front vestibule and interior. When the weather isn’t so great, rain, snow etc there’s nothing worse than standing there getting poured-on in a less than adequate vestibule but not with the Bunk House, you’re totally sheltered on entry. Also in inclemate weather you can fit 2-3 camp chairs under the vestibule, closed up or open, and enjoy reading outside while the rain comes down…awesome. The interior space is great to, while the peak in both the 4P and 6P exceed my 5’8″ height, the 6P has clearance almost end to end. Also the sidewalls have enough vertical to add to the spaciousness. And the 6P will have about 1.5ft more space beyond the length of your sleeping system which is nice for entry/exit room. The 4P and 6P are so similar in size, I’d just go 6P if it were me. The quality is great of the material, zippers, poles were all great and has lasted through multi-day rain and through some mild wind. My very mild complaints are: the rainfly zipper occasionally gets caught when trying to open in the morning, so in a couple cases I had to zip down all the way from the top, force my head and hand out to unstick the bottom zipper before pulling all the way up to fully open. I wish the interior doors were one zip all the way around rather than a double zip you that you have to do with each entry/exit…I was able to get away with a one vertical zip entry/exit but you have to be thin and nimble to pull that off. Also I wish it had roof top rainfly vents and a bathtub floor but in all honesty I didn’t run into problems related to ventilation nor water/splash intrusion.

   I LOVE my Bunkhouse 6 tent and it has EVERYTHING you could want from a tent. I’ve used big Agnes gear over the past 12 years but Big Agnes really outdid themselves on the Bunk House. I have a backpacking tent from the company and a nice sleeping bag but my partner and I were looking for a glamping car camping experience. If you have a partner that struggles with small tent camping this is EXACTLY what you’re looking for. We use this just for 2 people and it feels like just the right amount of space. You could definitely fit more people in. This tent can stand up to all conditions, and we actually dealt with over an inch of unexpected snow the first time using our tent! This tent clearly over performs in the weather compared to other tents. Looking at the updated version it looks exactly the same except it looks like it may have better tie downs. I got this on sale but I truly would eat the $700 for this tent, or get the previous generation cheaper. The red orange really is pretty nice, and isn’t too intense. Pros: exceptional performance in weather. I was very impressed with how well this tent handled significant snow. The design of the rain fly gives ample room, to fully tie down a secure the entire tent from water, even from a side to side rain or snow. Overall design of the tent leaves nothing to desire. In the 6 person you can stand up fully at all places in the tent. Only if you were 6.5 feet tall you’d need to bend over a bit I bet. You have room for a full queen air mattress, plenty of room on all sides of the bed, all the pockets you’d need in a tent. Vestibules on both side give you soo much space even when fully zipped. We can fit both our huge rocking camping chairs under them on one side, when it’s fully zipped. Cons: this tent can be challenging to put up on your own alone until you know how to do it. It can be done certainly but definitely not your first few times setting it up. This tent takes up a bunch of space and it can be challenging to find a level spot with such a large tent, that’s also away from the fire pit. Having a large air mattress can help and material to put under neath the mattress if it’s on an incline to at least gave the mattress more flat. Little to no instructions on setting up the tent. This tents rain tarp is HUGE. Be ready for more challenge when drying the tent out before putting it away for storage.

   Super roomy inside although rainfly caused it to take up more area than I expected. I bought this for a music festival. It rained and had high wind warning. My tent stayed 100% dry and upright while alot of others had three inches of water inside and/or blown down. Plenty of room inside the vestibules for coolers, stove, etc. Expensive, but well worth it!

   The reviews on this tent were convincing. After serious soul searching we decided that we actually needed a Huge 8 person tent instead. Certainly the Big Agnes would be a superior product in terms of storm protection for two people. However what we need is a rarely used spare family tent for those emergency situations when our guests far exceed our tent capacity. We already have a mini-cabin. We also have a fantastic mountaineering tent. We just need instead a super large stupid tent to shelter many more people.
   Our mistake. We love Big Agnes tents!
