   I use these for weights on the bottoms of my lobster buoy spindles to keep them standing up so I can reach down and grab the top of the spindle instead of having to reach out with a gaff to grab the buoy. Saves a lot of work. It also helps to spot the buoys from a distance better when they stand up straight.

   I get it – these are railroad spikes…… I wasn’t expecting something that looks like it just rolled out of the foundry, but to call them “NEW”, might be a little off the mark. If new means they were never used on a railroad application, I believe it, but some of them look like they have been stored in the bottom of a barrel filled with water for 30 years. I just want them for welding projects, so I’ll probably buy more – I just think the word “NEW” might be changed to “Never used”/

   What’s not to love. Great price point, good quality steel in quantity, great for your crafting. Minor inconvenience is light blemish (rust, this is unpainted steel), but that is to be expected, and shouldn’t be held against the seller. Will take a second to sand off. They deliver on the product, and I will be ordering again!
