   Ive had a core tent for a couple years now and this is the perfect piece of mind to have when i go camping next. Helpful with the mallet, better stakes, and extra guy lines. But best part is the patch kit. Ive always been worried about my dog to claw near the tent door and tear it or a stray spark to melt a hole in it, now ive got a solution for it. All of it comes in a nice skinny bag that depending on size, could fit in the tent bag as well.

   It’s a unique situation when a family pulls up stakes at the end of tent camping event, and everything makes it back into the bag. That’s where this Tent Kit comes in really handy. I even use it to supplement weaker components in our tent. Here’s what’s to like: – The provided stakes are 10″ long, made from 1/4″ steel – making them very tough – by far more tough than the majority of stakes (usually plastic, or really thin metal) provided with most tents these days. They have nice thick plastic loop catchers for anchoring the floor loops or holding guy lines. – The hard rubber mallet is up to the task of driving in those stakes and has a hook on the handle in order to pull them back up. – Three spare guy lines are provided that already have adjusters attached, making them easy to use should an OEM guy line fail or get lost. – Even the little broom and dustpan are useful as their small size allows even the sharpest of corners to be swept up. – The patch kit has patches for tent fabric or rain cover, the tent floor and even for the mosquito netting. – The carrying bag fits in about any skinny area. Some gotchas though: – Step on the dustpan or broom, and they’re likely destroyed. – Since the stakes are held in a pouch at an end of the bag, if the bag is inverted, there’s a good chance a few will find their way out. – The kit is almost as expensive as many family tents these days (but that speaks more to how price-pointed current family tents are), but still… Overall, I think this kit is worth it though.

   This kit is far bigger than I thought it would be. It comes with a full size rubber mallet (w/ hanging hook), a broom and dustpan, seriously heavy duty metal stakes, extra guy lines, screen patches, floor patches, and clear patches. The carry case is very handy for easy storage.

   This is a fabulous kit with everything you need to set up your tent or a yard full of inflatables! I really like the compact way this can be stored and the organization with the storage as well. Highly recommend! A great value for the price!

   Only complaint is the the Velcro holding the stakes in does not always work, I’d prefer a zipper. I only use the provided stakes as backup as they are not very strong – there is room to store additional stakes. I guess that was 2 complaints! Still a good purchase though!

   It’s worth getting. I got it on sale. Everything that comes with it is better than the standard that the tent comes with. The kit made tent set up and take down simple.

    the mallet had an overwhelming black rubber oil toxic smell – the whole package is garbage- the ties downs and dustpan & carrying pack are all permeated with this noxious smell – i
    have tried contacting core customer service but no answer will try the seller as well not sure what to do – can’t travel with this item or do anything to do contain fumes – will be returning
