Not a tent expert, necessary to say first, so I don’t know how many stars to give it. Bought this Midair 3 on sale to be an upgrade to a cheap Wal*** tent now over 10 years old, used at least 20 times, and still can function, btw despite dry rot. So back to the Midair 3: Wet weekend up in the woods, and it leaked significantly from the bottom up. Set up my tarp footprint inside the edges, so no apparent mistake there. I never spray waterproofed the bottom, initially thinking no need with a bathtub style bottom. You HAVE to use the fly at all times unless privacy and / or blowing dust are not a concern. It also leaked rain from the top peak vents in the fly, and I believe it was closed properly. After drying it out, I spray waterproofed the bottom, including the one and only seam. I taped the peak vents on the fly closed permanently. There is no way they would hold dry in sideways rain, and on a hot dry night, the side ventilation is expansive. Not a tent geek, but it does seem to have limitations. Guess you get what you pay for.

We used this for back country camping in Yellowstone. It is a heavier tent, but as this was my girlfriend’s first back country experience I did not want to pay more for a tent with added lightness. It’s easy to set up, easy to take down, and very stable. Why did I knock off a star? It came with 8 pegs, but the instructions advise using more.

I’ve had this tent for three seasons now and it’s seen me through wind, rain, and hail and stayed dry without fail. It could not be easier to pitch and has really held up. I considered spending a lot more for a snootier brand and a few less ounces, but this was a great choice

I wanted to love this tent, I have 2 other Eureka! tents, a 4-5 person and a single (2) person, however I’m returning this one . . . not because it’s not a great tent, but I want something that I can see out of when I’m inside, and when the rain fly is on it’s almost impossible to see out. I liked that it was easy to set up, came with aluminum poles, was plenty roomy for us. Still I would recommend this tent to anyone who doesn’t mind not seeing outdoors when inside. However, when the rain fly isn’t on the sky’s the limit!

Midori 3 I set up this tent at night by myself it was easy. I like the features of this tent. I wish the tent stakes were a lil better. I haven’t camped with rain yet.

There is lots of mesh on this tent, which is excellent for ventilation but you NEED the rain fly if you want any privacy. I’m scared one day the mesh will get holes in it but so far so good, and I’ll be very careful

Just replaced our “3 person” (2 is more realistic really) with this fantastic tent. Great price, and features that all the high end tents charge three times as much for. Six inside pouch pockets and gear loft. Lots of screen, we camp mostly in Florida so that’s important. Holds a queen mattress with plenty of room to spare. First set up and take down was very easy, standard diagonal main poles, the third pole is not on center, but I figured it out without the instructions. One thing I like the best is the doors open the same way, most tents have opposing doors, when there’s two persons using the tent this can be annoying. Looks very sturdy. Can’t wait to put it to the test canoe camping.
