I’ve been a fan of Eureka tents for years. Easy setup, roomy, comfortable. I replaced my previous 9×9 Tetragon with this one after 8 years (maybe longer) due to wear and tear from rough use. The only reason I didn’t give this 5 stars was that I kept having a little trouble with the zipper getting stuck.

This is my Second Eureka, Great Tent

Very easy and fast set up. I like the full six foot high peak interior too.

We have a small eureka backpacking tent that I give 5+ stars, we love it. But now with a family of 4 we needed something bigger so we tried this nx5. Very sturdy and spacious but there is very little ventilation. The walls are much higher than expected and there are hardly any options for opening up to allow airflow. Would be a great tent for cold weather camping but not suitable for Texas spring and summers. I’ll be returning it and replacing with the eureka “kohona”.

We purchased this tent thinking it would be great for our grandsons who camp with us. Who ever designed this should be forced to sleep in it with a driving rain storm.
The screen window opposite the door doesn’t have a rain flap, so during a rain storm, the rain came in and soaked everything.

The mesh and fly on the sides no longer extends to the ground. I did like that. There was plenty of nice fresh air inside. There is no back window. I miss that window, especially when I want to see what is rustling in the woods behind the tent. The top middle tie is just a hook now. That seemed to work okay. Overall: great tent for me.

It had been over 20 years since I tent camped, but I needed a tent for my buddy’s elk hunt the first week of September. We were not too many miles from the border with Colorado. We ended up camped on a high ridge. We had nice temps in the mid 70’s with lows on the low 50’s. I took an extra set of steel stakes and staked out the rain fly for extra stability in the wind (20+mph) one day. I used a cot and everything was very comfortable. The tent is basic, but will last years. I waterproofed the tent before the trip (6-days), but we didn’t have any rain. It’s a good tent for the price for car camping and I recommend it!
