Not sure if it’s just me, but I always struggle with anything that has a metal frame that folds a specific way—whether it’s a windshield sunshade or this tent. This one’s no exception.
The instructions aren’t much help, but with a little patience, you’ll eventually get the hang of it. Definitely practice at home first—it’s way less stressful than trying to figure it out at the beach with kids running around 😄
Once folded, it packs down pretty small. When open, it fits two people comfortably—four if you’re all close friends, haha.
It’s super lightweight and can handle light wind. For better stability, you can use the included stakes, but keep in mind the frame isn’t made for strong gusts.

This popup tent will work well as a shady spot at the beach this summer. Though not big enough for a family, this sturdy tent is more than adequate to shade a couple of kids or a baby that needs a nap. The extra long flap in front that can be zipped up to enclose the tent helps keep the tent free of sand and debris. Even without the enclosed stakes, this tent is stable and will withstand a light breeze. Included are additional stakes and rope to further secure the tent. Overall this is a great value for a small, compact, lightweight beach/vacation tent. The directions sewn into the carry bag can be a bit confusing, but once you learn how to roll the tent into the correct configuration for storage, putting the tent away is a breeze. the flaps that can be secured to block sun from the screen windows loop onto a hook. Zippered covers would have been better, in my opinion, but the loop/hook attachment is quick and easy.

This beach tent automatically sets itself up! Just take it out of the carry bag and let it go; BAM, automatically set up. Just arrange the corners and bottom, then secure to the ground with the included stakes, ropes, and sand bags to keep it in place. I like the ease of setup and this tent being as large as the listing says, and it easily accommodates two adults and maybe three adults.
There’s a learning curve on taking this down, but I think once you get the hang of it, folding it up will become second nature.
I’m planning a beach trip soon, so I’m looking forward to using this to get a break from the sun. I’ll update this review if beach use affects the review.

This tent is very easy to pop up. It basically just unfolds and pops up on it’s own. However, it’s difficult to fold it back to its original position so that it fits in the bag. It actually takes two people to do the job. This is my reasoning for 4 stars instead of five. I’m sure once you have practice at folding it up, you will find it easier to do.
This is a great tent for the beach, as it’s lightweight and easy to carry. The flap can be used as an extra area to sit out front, or it can be zipped up to enclose the tent. The ventilation is great with the 3 windows, but you are able to close the windows if you prefer. The included stakes keep the tent in place, even on windy days.
This is a wonderful shelter at the beach when you have had enough sun, but aren’t ready to leave. You can get comfortable and read a book, or just people-watch from your little tent sanctuary, all while being kept safe from the harmful UV rays of the sun.
This tent would also be fun to pop up in the backyard for the kiddos to enjoy.

Order this item because one of my children is either white or red. There is no in between. And as a family we love going to the beach. Although it’s not quite beach weather yet, it is light, easy to set up and use as we tested it in our home. I believe this is going to be a great addition for our beach trips.

Now hear me out. I’ve got multiple cats and they all have very different, VERY STRONG personalities. And they all want to be outside with me when the weather is nice. For multiple reasons, they need to be indoor kitties. I can take them out on harnesses one or two at a time for walks, but managing all of them at once is a lot. But having a catio isn’t doable at the moment, and most playpens won’t fit all of the cats comfortably. So I got this sun cover to set on the porch outside my sliding back door (with the opening facing indoors of course) and then left that door only partially opened so that the cats can’t jump around the corners and get loose in the yard. I also made use of the loop tabs and sandbags for extra security. So far it’s been holding up to the zoomies and claws quite nicely. Especially given that this isn’t its intended purpose. Plus it’s super fast and easy to flip together, fold up, and put back in the carrying case. Whoever designed this did a great job keeping accessibility and portability in mind. Oh, and this didn’t have any funky tent smell when I opened it, either.
