We have two tents that we use for an event that we do every year. This year I had originally gotten these anchors to tie down the tents because last year someone kept pushing on the tents and out of our spot. But this year these heavy duty anchors held our tents in place as a large gust of wind came and took almost every other tent from the event. These anchors saved us from losing our tents and all the products we had under them.
These anchors work well. They were easy to install in place. And I would gladly pay to buy another set if needed.

I’ve had times of setting up a canopy or tent, 20 minutes later the stakes had pulled out and everything’s on the ground. These “screw in” style will hold much better than hammered in stakes (whether pulling directly inline with them or at near 90 degrees). This set includes a drill tool for driving them in, or the top “handle” can be done by hand easily (while many others require the drill and have an eye bolt go on the top for ropes etc.) The handle also allows several ropes rather than just a 1/2 inch eye hole. Obviously the ground will be a factor in holding power, like beach sand won’t hold well, so don’t expect such. I imagine most needing more than just a set of 2 (as some sets are), so a set like 8 makes more sense to me as well.

I used a Torque Wrench to drive them into the ground. The stakes held a tent and canopy through 40 mph winds.

I have an old carport with a canopy to park my car under. One of my support poles broke loose from one of the anchors I used to anchor it to the ground with from high wind conditions. I bought some 12″ spikes to anchor it to the ground but, we were hit with a lot of high wind storms this past year and one of the spikes was eventually pulled out of the ground. I saw these screw-in type online and felt they would do a better job than a regular spike. I was a little apprehensive about being able to get them into the ground due to a lot of loose 1″ to 2″ gravelly rocks under the soil. It was hard enough just getting a regular spike pounded into the ground. I set my 1/2″ drill up with the adaptor that came with these new pegs, which was no problem, and then proceeded to attach it to the screw-in pegs. I was able to screw them into the ground by putting a little weight behind my drill, and at a slow speed, I was able to screw it into the ground. I did run into a rock at one point but, I was able to power thru it and finish sinking the peg into the ground with very little trouble. Would I buy these again and recommend them to someone else? Absolutely!

These work very well for our pool cover and has kept it in place in some very strong winds. Easy to get into the ground with your drill and the seem to hold up well once in place.

So these are good tent states, found a few areas where they have trouble but those are areas where we were using old piston heads as steaks because the ground was so hard. I’d say these work in 80% of all environements. Theyre a good purchase especial for pop up canopies or other quick setup take down events,.
