Would of been nice if the tent came with the ropes needed to tie the tent down. The spikes are very cheap and bend easily especially if you use the tent in winter After just 2 hammer strokes they bended to the point of not being usable anymore. Good thing I had old metal ones from a previous tent I purchased in the past and that I first tried it in my backyard. The material very sensitive to heat. For a tent being advertised to being able to be used with a stove the material easily burns in contact with fire sparks comming out of the chimney. After just one use its already full of holes which sucks. I opted for the 2-4 person one but I should have gone withe 4-6 to gain some extra room cause with the use of a stove sitting inside the tent in a chair is practically impossible. Had to sit on the ground to be comfortable and not having my head against the tent or being to close to my stove. To bad I was really looking forward to have it.

The tent did not come with instructions, but it is simple to figure out on your own anyway. With the inner mesh net (to keep bugs out” you can comfortably fit 1 person. If you take the mesh out you could fit 3-4, but there would not be a bottom/cover on the ground if you take the mesh net out. Overall I think this tent will come in handy during our hunting trip and keep us warm!

This tent is easy and fast to set up. Quality of this tent is very good. It’s waterproof and very spacious and it’s warm on its own but I also got a woodstove for this tent and it holds the heat well. I love the fact that it comes with the inner screen tent with a floor to keep you dry and bug free inner tent takes up half the floor space. It’s not the lightest tent at 6.2 pounds but you can leave behind the inner tent to reduce the weight by a couple of pounds. (especially if you plan to sleep more than 2 people)

Good cheap hot tent but I would suggest if you wanted to take it seriously to spend extra money. Stakes are cheap and hard to get on and out of ground especially when in cold weather. A few things broke like the strap at the bottom of the tent. It is a good tent for people you will just sleep in it a couple times a year, and not intense camping. It hold very good against wind when wind even got to over 60 mph. It is very warm though I slept in it at sub 0 temps and was warm throughout the night. Set up with take about half an hour with one person. But at the end of the day it still gets the job done.

Does the job but as others have mentioned a double zipper on each door would be a game changer to control ventilation in the tent much more efficiently. Inner mesh is decent but I find that it doesn’t exactly fit with the tent itself correctly (just a tad small as to be unable to secure onto all four corners properly, but like i said it still does the job. The small stakes provided won’t last too many set-ups. Honestly get a bigger tent if you seriously want to fit 2 people comfortably, perfect for 1 person tho- at the very least true if you plan on using inner mesh at all. No mesh, could handle 2 people crowdedly. This is a decent first time hot tent experience, definitely learned what to look for when I eventually buy my next one. If you go for the cheaper tent like this one, don’t go cheap on the stove you use tho, the cheap stoves seem to leak and are made from poor materials. Just saying.

This tent is very durable and it keeps the tempature. I was in the mountain twelve degrees and I used a buddy heater and I stayed warm.

I recently received this tent, and upon setting it up, I discovered a slight problem with the stove jack. On 3
Mar., at approximately 1600 hrs, I contacted Firehiking, via whatcampingtent.com. In just over two hours, I received my initial response from either Firehiking, or their seller rep. Two hours!!!!! I was expecting that many or more days to hear back. I should add that I attached photos of the problem, which no doubt helped. By that evening, following just a few back and forth messages, a resolution by them was offered, and which I accepted. They said a new stovejack should ship in 5-6 days. This, my good whatcampingtent.com friends, is exceptional customer service. I wasn’t questioned, they didn’t make excuses. Instead, this is what we have, and here is what we can do. I hope they read this, and know how much I appreciate their prompt response. Thank you Firehiking. Well done.

So, overall the tent is solid, lightweight, and for the most part a good buy for a tent without a brand name. I used it Sept 23, 2023 in Algonquin park.
Setup: easy
Sturdy: very sturdy. Held up no issue once pegged into the ground and pole in place.
Chimney setup for stove: very easy.
I used a cot in my setup and it worked well. This tent is the perfect setup for a one man crew. Without the stove I can see it accommodating 2-3 more people.
If I could have one thing – 2 way zippers would be better. Having to find an end in the dark is not desirable. For the price I suppose its a little complaint.

Purchased this tent quite recently but have already put it through its paces. Put together really well with everything as advertised. Held up nicely in some cold weather and also didn’t leak in a rainstorm. You need to cut the pipe hole for hot tenting, use a sharp knife and no problem. Overall very happy with this hot tent! Highly recommend! Stove fit nicely in the stove Jack. Will be out many times over the winter in this tent!
