   I haven’t back packed with this tent yet. I’ll be heading out soon so there will be a follow up review. Fresh out of the bag , I’m impressed. Easy set up and tear down. everything looks functional. Wow…. This tent grows on you. I went on a short backpacking trip this weekend and put it to the test. Set up was easy and it is super spacious. Plenty of room for me and the doberman. It went up and came down easily. I couldn’t get it as taut as I’s liked to have it but at the end of the day it didn’t matter. It dipped into the low 40’s and this tents heavier rain-fly makes it a great cooler weather tent. I have a lighter rain-fly that would fit this oddly shaped tent so on summer trips I can lighten my pack some. I’m impressed with this tent after one trip.! For the money its well worth it. This tent will for sure sleep two adults comfortably. I backpack with a doberman and between the two of us we had more than enough room for us and our gear.

   Bottom line – this is a great tent. The build quality of this tent really impressed me. I must have read over 100 reviews when deciding which one to purchase. The great reviews I found over and over for this model and for this company really drew me in. The customer videos are what clenched it for me – so thank you to those that uploaded the videos! This tent held up really well on my first adventure with it. Temps were mild, we stayed nice and dry during a short rain storm, and the winds were pretty hectic the first night. Despite that, setting it up was super simple and quick, even in the wind. Once the guy-lines were hooked up, I barely heard the tent flapping at all during the night – only during the heaviest gusts. It really is a nice design with the two chambers and doorways. The interior is surprisingly spacious, given the weight and size of it fully packed up. There was enough room for me and my lady (I’m 5′ 11″ and she’s 5′ 6″) plus both of our bags (a full-sized backpacking pack and a smaller hiking backpack). This was important to her, to have room to keep our gear inside the tent while we slept, to avoid ticks or spiders getting in our packs during the night. Mission accomplished. Pros: – the included tent footprint is awesome to have – build quality is superb (sealed seems internally to be water tight) – spacious interior plus two chambers external to the tent to keep things out of the rain – fairly well-vented (never got too hot even for a late afternoon nap during an 80 degree day) – super lightweight tent spikes – included spike press – ridiculously simple to set up, with the single tent pole design cons: – a little heavier than other lightweight tents when you bring everything along, but great when split between two hikers – not the coolest looking tent, but that was never my deal-breaker Overall – great tent, and I highly recommend it to others on the fence. I can’t count the number of times my girlfriend said “I love this tent” during our maiden voyage with it.

   This is only a initial review for this Zion two person tent. I start camping when I was 18, when I start have my own car. I own numbers of tents in the past, from Nemo one person to a eight person REI kingdom 8 family tent, I also have try these $50 four person tents form coleman. Two years ago I start using car roof top tents. But I have a Kayak camping trip coming up is May, I need a new light weight two person tent. I have use Hyke & Byke sleeping bags for long time, their product quality is very good and this Zion price did not break your bank. SO I give it a try. When I receive this tent, I can tell it is a well build and easy to use tent. takes me under 8 minutes to set up. I live in the northeast, I must use rain fly. but still is not to bad for kayak camping. For backpacking maybe a bit on a heavy side but depends on how far you hike for the camp. I love this tent use only 4 short guidelines, and a top storage mesh are handle. all the tent stakes are aluminum. I suggest to open up the tent to let it fresh up before first use, because it has a very strong ammonia smell, maybe is the coating, it takes up to few days for the smell be gone. I will follow up a real life use review after I use it. Update after use it 4th times of this amazing tent. No complain at all! 1 time is under bad weather, no issue!

   Bought this tent for 21 day Grand Canyon rafting trip- it performed well. Easy to put up, low weight and space (when packed)– although probably not ideal for ultra lightweight backpacking. 2 person tent was perfectly sized for me (1 person), would be super cozy and no gear storage with 2 people. Used with rain fly in colder temps and without when it got warmer. Knocking off one star for cheap, poorly designed stakes- you can use them for the first trip or two but some of mine broke and all will likely need replacing.

   I’ve used this tent on 6 backcountry trips now. Twice on snowshoe winter trips. 1 rainy canoe trip. I like that you can set up the fly before the tent and set it up in the rain and it will be dry. Was handy to take down in the rain so the tent was dry for the second campsite on the trip. It’s very sturdy. Lots of room for a 2 person tent! Stayed dry in steady rainstorm. Was windy but not sideways raining. It sets up quickly and easy. I like the reflective markers and guy lines. The stakes are high quality and I like the installing tools it comes with. The only thing that is negative at all it it’s on the heavier side for a backpacking tent and a bit bulky. But to improve that you would be at a way higher price point. So considering the price I have no complaints about this tent. I’m even considering getting the 1 person version.

   Habe mir das Zelt für eine mehrtägige Radtour gekauft. Es war leicht, es war leicht aufzubauen und erst war ich begeistert. Beim dritten Aufbau flutschte mir jedoch eines der Stangensegmente aus einer der “Dreifachhülsen” in denen das Gestänge zusammengeführt wird. Und nochmal und nochmal. Da sah ich, dass diese Hülse schon völlig ausgelutscht war. Kein Wunder, die Zeltstangen werden da unter großer Spannung reingedrückt, stecken aber nur wenige Millimeter in der Hülse. Das muss ja irgendwann kaputt gehen. Klarer Konstruktionsfehler.
   Will man nicht haben auf einer mehrtägigen Radtour plötzlich ohne Zelt dazustehen.
   Deshalb (und nur deshalb) rate ich vom Kauf des Zeltes ab.
