   I will say my son loved this a little too much- he’s 99% 6 month old and I was surprised how much room he has to grow in this (I bought the smaller one- glad I did!) this is made of tent like material and is light and packed easily into a carry on that he and I shared for a 4 day trip. It is noisy! He found out quickly how to make wonderful sounds by kicking his legs and spinning in circles- he was happy as a clam but definitely made bedtime a bit tricky- I think this will improve with age. We let him fall asleep first then zipped him in for the night. Love how the sheet zips in and mattress is below the tent so no worries about SIDS risks with loose fabrics. I wish I had gotten this in the first place instead of a pack and play which is heavy and cumbersome and we will likely never use now.

   This product is high quality and a very nice product. on quality i give this 5 starts… on functionality as a bed i give it 3.
   I attempted to use it as a bed for my baby while camping, however it didnt work for a couple reasons. First, every time I put the baby down and had to zip her in for safety the zipper would startle her and wake her fully up… then the process would repeat, it made for a long night. The second reason it didnt work was that it was 2 small, she would roll into the edge almost immediately and then wake herself up again.
   If you are using this as play pin to hang out then it will be a great product. If you are trying to use this as a bed and have a sensitive sleeper this product may not work as a bed.

   We have used the Kid co pea pods for a long time and I was so excited that this version by Joovy had nicer colors, washable sheet and a thicker mattress. It does have all of those things, but it takes up twice the space and is about 1.5lbs heavier. This may not sound like much but when I pack for my whole family in one or two suitcases, every ounce matters since its so easy to hit that 50lb weight limit. Considering the pea pod is a lot cheaper and took up more space and weight, it was hard to justify keeping this one.

   Our 2 year old daughter has been refusing to nap in the crib, but thinks the joovy gloo is fun and she likes to be zipped in. Well made, portable and cozy for naps. The mesh panels make it easy to check up on her, and she seems comfortable sleeping on the self inflating pad.

   Our twins are almost 2, and have never slept anywhere other than their cribs. For our first family vaca a friend highly recommended these tents instead of our huge twin pack. I was hesitant on the pack and play that they’d get out or that they’d be kicking eachother and two pack and plays was not an option. We caved and bought these. Oh my goodness I couldn’t believe it. They slept the very first night ALL night. And every night and nap our whole trip. There was a bit of crying of course, but minimal. We introduced it a day or two before the trip at home by putting them in the play room and letting them go in and out as they please so they seemed familiar on the trip. They could not get out when it was fully zipped.10/10 recommend!!

   My toddler sleeps in this when we are traveling, it is so easy to use and he loves to climb into his tent! He is 18 months but we have been using it since he was about 14 months. So easy and convenient as opposed to a big bulky portable crib. Definitely recommend!

   I wanted something for my infant daughter to use on our deck at home or at a lake. I also needed it to be lightweight and easy to travel with. An added perk for me was that it doesn’t blow around in the wind when she’s in it. I live in a very windy area of USA, so that was high on my list.

   We have several Joovy products and strongly stand behind this line. I’ve looked at similar items in the past that were a lot less expensive, but ultimately didn’t trust them with my baby’s life. When my husband saw what brand this was he was 100% on board. This is great for if you have a baby and other little ones that love to play outside. You can zip the baby in this (weather permitting) and keep the bugs and the sun out. I’ve looked for similar travel beds for camping too (like I’ve stated previously), but didn’t trust them. Our son is old enough that he can just sleep between us on the air mattress, but I don’t trust the baby in bed with us (I’m a huge advocate of babies sleeping in their own crib). This is the perfect solution. Size wise, great for a baby. My son (15 months, see pic) fit in it fine (we have the regular sized one), but he felt too enclosed to actually play in it, plus he’s really tall for his age, so it was a bit short for him. Assembly wise, this couldn’t be easier….it pops right open, then the mat self inflates when you open the valve and you place it in it’s own zipper compartment at the bottom of the tent (see pic), so it’s totally safe (you don’t have to worry about baby getting trapped under it somehow). Fold up was easy enough, just pinch all the sides and twist (takes a little practice, but pretty easy). It all fits easily in a round carrying case that’ll take up almost no room in the closet or car. A+++
