Finally an inexpensive, high quantity SUV tent that is simple to set up and high quality. The material is well made with a radiant heat barrier, comes with taped seams and our first camping trip was in a deluge and the KampKeeper shrugged off the downpour without problems. It has built in screened vents, a nice, large screen window with a zippered storm flap and two entry awnings with poles. Best of all the body of the tent has only one arch fiberglass segmented pole that supports the tent by clips and a short pass through sleeve. Stakes (basic) and cords are included. This tent does NOT have a floor which is an advantage as far as I’m concerned, when I need a floor I just use a tarp, cheap and easily replaced unlike a built-in floor. Set up is simple and the unit as a whole is light and provides an ~ 7’x10′, 6’+ height, plenty big enough for two. At half the price of many similarly sized other units it’s tough to beat.

I’ve been camping/backpacking for almost 30 years in the PNW in sun, rain, snow and did I mention rain. I know what it’s like using low quality gear and I try to avoid it if possible. This tent is AWESOME for the features/price point. The material is decent quality and holds up pretty well in moderate winds. As many reviewers have mentioned, the instructions are……limited, at best. There’s a card inside with a link to video instructions which helps, but not by much. Honestly, if you have experience setting up other tents, you can manage this. If not, probably practice in the driveway. My first set up was in the dark and even then it only took ~15 – 20 mins. My wife and I commented several times about how surprised we were on the quality and features for the price. Multiple awnings, solid stitches and construction. The stakes are standard basic tent stakes and could probably use and upgrade, but are totally usable. It doesn’t have a ground cloth/cover, which worked for us as we simply used it for a sitting area, but a ground cloth or tarp can easily be had and would work great.
TLDR: As someone with experience with many tents over the years, I highly recommend this one for it’s features, quality, and price.

This tarp os huge and one person cannot set this up alone. Besides the fact that a person needs at least 3 feet of room behind their vehicle to assemble.
