   This is not a lightweight backpacking tent. You’ll want a vehicle or pack animal to lug it around. That being said, it comes out of and actually can get back into a relatively small package. Assembly is straight forward – if you’ve put up a two-pole tent in the last 30 years you’ll know how to put up this one. The rainfly is a bit small. You are going to get water inside this tent when getting in/out in the rain, but that’s a common issue with this design. The stakes don’t have any point at their bottoms, which indicates a cost-cutting action. It makes me wonder what other corners have been cut during manufacturing. Overall, the materials seem to be heavier-duty than a bigbox store, cheap tent. The stitching appears to be done perfectly, which is nice. You’ll still want to waterproof the seams with some sort of seam sealer. This tent, if properly cared for, should give many years of use. If you are new to camping, this would be a good tent for you but keep in mind that the number of people it says it’ll hold assumes average-sized people with no gear in the tent with them. Basically, this tent strikes me as “good enough” but it doesn’t make me say WOW! Hence, the four stars.

   This tent was so easy to setup and take down! We wanted to test it out before we went camping and we had it up and taken back down in less than 20 minutes. One person could easily put this up by themselves. It comes with 3 tent poles, 2 for the actual tent and 1 for the rain topper. The door on the front zips open half way and has a mesh window. There is a window on the back side as well as a small mesh vent on the bottom under the window too. The rain topper has 1 tent pole attach then has a hook to comment it to the rings on the actual tent. There is a small porch flap that folds out. The tent poles have a metal ring that goes inside the poles to anchor them to the corners. It comes with tent poles, tent, rain topper, stakes to secure and a handy carrying bag. The instructions are sewn onto the bag, but we didn’t need them. The carrying bag with all the supplies inside weighs approximately 8 to 10 lbs. My husband and I and our 2 Dachshunds all fit comfortably inside.

   LEAKED — on the first use the day it was rain and everything was soaking wet inside despite the tent was closed/zipped all the way round.

   I am 5′ 7″ and I will not fit in no matter how much I try –I have to have my legs bent all the time –this tent is for a child or a small adult.
