This is a fantastic tent – MSR’s description of the inside as “liveable” is underselling it, it’s cavernous and really comfortable. It’s also very well put together with some lovely design details like the massive mesh pockets in the side of the interior, the night-glow zip pulls and the mesh roof (which I can’t wait for good enough weather so I can pitch it inner only and sleep looking at the stars through.)
Recently mine stood up to high winds and freezing temperatures on a summit camp in the highlands – you can see from the photos there was a degree of flex in the worst of the wind but even in these extremes it felt solid inside, gave no worries about staying up, keeping us dry and warm overnight and in-between sunrise snaps.
It’s a doddle to put up with the colour-coded poles (even in cold weather when your hands are going numb) packs down small and is very light for the size, strength and price.

Lots of room, glow in dark zippers on doors and plenty of storage in pouches on the inside. Several campers next to my site came over and looked at the tent. They said they intended to purchase one soon. MSR all their products are top notch.

Surprisingly lightweight, durable, and simple to set up! Kept me plenty warm in 17F and stays cool through the summer nights.

We home and adventure motorcycle ride. Awesome tent for two people who want to sleep and stay out of the weather in comfort. One down side not a great tent in the summer.

At first, like others, I didn’t like the setup of this tent. However, this was because I set it up the first time in the living room for practice. In the field, it’s very easy. Stake the footprint, stake the tent, put two poles in one side, and go grab the two poles on the other side and push up. Then, it’s as simple as clipping and setting up the easy rainfly. Anyone struggling with this must be inside their homes.
Performance: It didn’t leak for rain. It handled a snow squall. Above all else, it didn’t budge in an epic night terror storm with 80-90 mph winds (speed confirmed the next morning at the ranger station). To be clear, it was fully staked and taught-lined that night. Plenty of room for two. Double vestibules for gear (although it doesn’t come with enough stakes for vestibules, but those are easy enough to carve up quick in the field). Pockets to hold stuff and many loops to hang stuff. Glowing zippers are great. For backpacking it’s light enough if one totes tent and one totes food. For car camping it is good too. Wonderful product!

Yo tenia la elixir 2, y ahora comore esta por que necesitaba más espacio en algunos camping. Los materiales son super resistentes, se arma muy fácilmente y ya la he probado en lluvias y viento y super bien. Me encanta esta marca

I bought this tent in 2022 and it’s still holding up strong. The setup is easy, not too heavy, has kept me dry during the rain. This is the best tent I’ve ever had.

This thing withstood a downpour without a single drop getting inside the tent.
Very good material and well thought design. I’d add an extra net in the middle of the ceiling, it’s the only thing I feel it is missing… other than that, theres already plenty of room in the nets on the sides.
Make sure to open the vents when mounting the tent or you’ll suffocate inside if it’s not wintertime.
Highly recommended

We have shopped around, bought, returned countless tents this summer but this one is the keeper. Spacious, stable, easy to assemble. Love having doors on each side, that’s a plus if one of us needs to pee. Winds were whipping and it didn’t move despite us not putting anything in it yet. Only down side is having anything pressing on the exterior. Dew runs down if it’s not taught and there’s weight on that point. Great for 2 with sleeping pads
