A real good tent to own if you are not in a hurry and may need to survive a bad storm. I ran into a super bad storm that laid my tent flat on the ground, is why I purchased this tent. I now have no fear of the storms.

Easy to erect, well thought out. This will be my home for at least 3 months of travelling through West Africa. I use the Elixir 2 for weekend camping in Europe, but want the extra space for all my gear while travelling.

One of the pole were crack on arrival. The pole ended up snapping where the crack was. The box that it came in was in pretty good shape, so it lead me to the conclusion that the pole was damaged before packaging, or from the manufacturer. Was very excited about this tent, I will be returning item, and I am now skeptical on purchasing this brand again, or even getting a replacement. I heard many good things about MSR, and have used there product before. I hope this was just a one off issue, and hope the seller is reasonable. Will update with more info, if any later after successful return.

I like the design of the tent and the size. The rain fly has failed and leaks. I reached out to MSR and they replaced the fly a few years back. I was sent a new rainfly and it failed as well. Reached out to MSR a month ago and have not heard back….
