Great for two people and gear. Three people and gear is a squeeze. Great for nice weather. Less tolerant of wind.

Steer clear until manufacturing issues sorted. As mentioned by other reviews, defective poles and questionable stitching. Had to return after only 3 uses as the poles were unusable with 5 broken segments. Previous MSR tent still going strong after a decade of use, so hopefully they can sort out these issues.

Loved the tent for 2 people! (that’s why we got the 3 person so not crunched at all and room for some gear!) Super easy to set up. Have to buy a separate footprint for it though. Overall, kept us warm and dry in rainy weather. It appears very well made and has held up well! I did a lot of research prior to buying this tent. Worth the cost! It’s light but i split the weight with who I was backpacking with.

I’m impressed. Was between this, nemo, some dyneema pole tents, and for the weight and what I needed, this made by far the most sense. If something happens out of warranty I’ll be buying another.

Within 4 times of using it the poles broke where the metal piece that clicks into the other pole came unstuck and got lost inside.
I was unable to contact whatcampingtent.com or the company for support around this. Very disappointed as I know MSR is usually good quality gear.

Pros: Very spacious interior. Quality build and design. Really liked that the zip on the fly ran sideways making it easier to zip up from the inside.
Cons: More complex pole structure than other tents I’ve tried. Low mesh to fabric ratio on the tent canopy could lead to excessive condensation and overheating on warm nights.

The tent was missing several of the joint sections that enable the poles to connect together. I submitted a warranty claim with MSR, but the only response I’ve seen from MSR was an automated email stating they will review the claim. No follow-up was ever sent.
Other than the factory defect, the tent seems well made and it is exceptionally lightweight. Unfortunately, I will have to return it.

Bought this tent in august and problems with all the pôles connectors making this expensive tent not usable.
No return on mails or phone by Cascade Design after 3 months of trying to get in Touch!
If you look on the reviews on their web site, same comments by other customers…
Just don’t get the same trouble, star away of MSR tents!
