   5 Stars! Works great, Easy setup, held up to a downpour. I really thought it may allow some water to run past into the hatch area but held up like a champ. Used the straps from rolling up the tent to attach straps to the wheels.

   I picked this thing up as a cheap alternative to getting a roof top tent, and WOW was I impressed with how much it opens up the space! The car just feels more open and roomy, whereas previously my Outback could feel quite claustrophobic with everything shut. The design is smart, sensible, with everything working exactly how you think it should, and the air flow is great. I don’t feel insecure with this thing on, as it’s really just like sleeping with a normal tent now. Setup is done within four minutes, and it definitely catches up a conversation with other car campers in the park.

   For something like this to work, it really needs to be designed well and, being as niche of a product as this is, I really wasn’t expecting this brand to deliver what I Wanted. After using it, I really do believe the folks at Napier actually thought this through because it clearly shows in all the little touches (like where things are secured and how everything fits together).

   Ive already recommended it to a few other friends who are considering car camping. Absolute winner!

   Ich kann den Kauf empfehlen!
   Habe das Zelt für meinen Golf 4 Variant/Kombi gekauft. Es passt sehr gut auf das Auto und macht von der Verarbeitung und den Materialien einen guten Eindruck. Eine Dachreiling ist nach meiner Meinung unverzichtbar für die Befestigung am Fahrzeug.
   Bei Regen habe ich es noch nicht benutzt aber da das Zelt am Autodach nicht dicht abschließt, könnte Wasser in Richtung Heckklappe fließen. Das Wasser würde zwar über die regulären Wasserabläufe am Heck abfließen, könnte sich jedoch unten Zelt sammeln. Jenachdem, wie weit man das Zelt unter das Auto zieht.

   Fits our subie great. I’m not very tall and was able to set this up alone – literally took like 5mins to set up and 2mins to take down. The only thing is it’s not completely bugproof on the sides. Once we scrunch a cloth between the dips it should be fine but I wouldn’t be shocked if a few bugs got in here and there. But not a deal breaker for us. I am in love with this tent! Easy to use, and no more damp camping gear from condensation tent-camping on the ground anymore!!

   If you’ve set up tents, this tent-like alcove sets up/breaks down easily in under five minutes and it gives a nice big entry point to the SUV. Line it up to the car, fit it over the open hatch, hook to wheel wells/buckle it in place on the roof, slide/attach the single pole at the back and stake the two stakes: boom, done. In the past, I’ve also used a larger SUV tent by Napier, and their products seem consistently well designed and well constructed. I currently have a 2015 Subaru Outback and the smaller size of this product fits it perfectly. The sleeve fits so well that so far, no bugs have made it inside (and we have tons of mosquitoes here). I’m going to add a bit of info about camping with the Outback, in case anyone is curious about my setup. I also bought mesh covers for the rear windows and a tiny camping fan for more air circulation, but this rear alcove has a mesh section you can zip open to as well. I have a Teton XL camping pad and an oversized Coleman sleeping bag that fit perfectly inside the Outback for a nice night’ rest. This alcove gives some nice headspace inside the car and a tiny awning area outside (it is a tiny covered space – if you’re camping in rain for any length of time you’d also want an additional shelter of some kind for just hanging out or cooking). Car camping with this alcove isn’t as roomy as a teardrop camper, but for a quick overnight stay it’s pretty great. For longer trips, adding a camp kitchen/outdoor shelter next to the car would be easy.

   Received it today and anxious to try it out. Our 2010 Santa Fe works perfect on this tent. Easy to assemble and fits great. Having both a screen and privacy shade is nice. Only 1 area is the bottom of the door corners rubs on the tent when lifted up. I just put a piece of foam on the corners as a precaution. All and all very satisfied.
