I was tired of crawling into my old tent and decided to get one I could stand in. Went to REI where you can assemble demo tents on site. I compared the 4-person Wonderland vs. the Nemo. Both are terrific tents, but for single person assembly, the Nemo was MUCH easier. Great cross ventilation and the zippers work well. And to me, it’s a prettier color. (The only advantage of the Wonderland is it’s about 2″ higher, which could make a difference if you are over 6’2″.) Be sure to buy the footprint too. I love this tent!

Dear hubby and I had a shorter 4 person dome tent. It was a very decent tent, BUT we are in our 60s now and crawling in and out and within the tent was getting to be too hard. We switched to the 6 person Nemo Aurora and it’s so much nicer for us. It’s pretty easy to set up. I am only 5′ tall so not the best helper for putting up a tall tent, but my husband and I have been able to set this up quickly and without problems. We have plenty of space and can walk around inside. There’s good cross ventilation. We’ve only experienced periods of light rain, but it’s been fine with those. As you might expect, it’s not a cold weather tent. We were up in the mountains near Nederland in the fall and it was pretty cold, even though we closed it up as much as possible. No problems sleeping though with good sleeping bags and pads. This might be TMI but there are two good sized vestibules and we have chosen to use the one in back as our nighttime bathroom. (Not being able to sleep through the night without a bathroom break is another issue with getting older) It’s tight, but there’s enough room in there for our trusty toilet bucket. Absorbent horse pellets are awesome btw. Not having to get dressed and stumble out to a tree or all the way to the vault toilets is wonderful!
