   I bought this tent because I mostly live off the grid and travel for various reasons. I wad looking for something versatile and durable. I was a bit apprehensive after i bought it. Will it stand the test of time and travel. By large, durable and versatile enough for my needs. So far it’s far exceeded my expectations. I set it up as soon as i got it. That took a little figuring out as the instructions on the inside of the carry bag are unclear.. but I figured it out fairly quickly. After 3 set ups it takes roughly 10 minutes to set up and get your gear inside ready ti go… here’s what i do. … 1 – take it all out and unroll.. stake the long side first, at the same time I lay out there guy lines and stake them leaving them loose.. then I put in the window pole and stake.. pull tight.. do the same for the other side.. now the center triangle.. put together.. open one door.. slide in and up.. put the long strap on leaving just right enough to kind of hold it.. zip door… tighten guy lines.. then the pole strap.. 7 to 10 minutes maybe.. Last night was my first night.. it got down to 50 degrees in later October in northern California. I was really warm im it last night.. without a heater. I’ll write an update after using this more in various weather.. UPDATE 11/21/22 I’ve been in this tent every night for almost a month.. Thru every weather but snow.. it stays very warm and dry, even without the stove. It takes very little to heat up. It rained for 3 days pretty hard and steady, no leaks.. I’ve posted pictures above, they aren’t great but you can see the room..

   This tent is nothing like advertised. Because it has no ground cover. During a thunderstorm, rain water was able to build up along the edges until it began flooding the inside of my tent. Many things got wet and some things got ruined because there is no secure way to keep rain from flooding underneath the tent. It also has pin holes around the closed smoke hole which leaked. Despite your instructions, this tent does not tighten up when staked and guy lined. The walls flap tremendously during wind gusts of 30mph. No matter how much i ttired to tighten the corners, the tent sides still flapped. Overall, this tent is a terrible alternative for long term camping during all seasons from a cheaper tent. It has th same issues in thunderstorm’s as old fashioned polyester tents with the added frailty of no ground cover. I definitely am glad i didnt buy a wood stove. It would have burned my stuff to the ground in the wind gusts.

   I’ve used with both a wood stove as well as with a kerosene heater. Both worked really well. Outside temps were in the 20s with moderate winds. Temp inside tent was 65+. Had to actually set the kerosene heater to its lowest setting to avoid getting sweated out. Good purchase.

   No complaints about this tent. Quality materials. Had it set up all winter in my backyard. Colour faded substantially but that’s to be expected. Could’ve used better instructions for getting a good pitch off the start. One of the tent poles failed on me in second year of use – no extra poles or repair sleeves came with it and struggling to find a set of poles.
