   Living in a landlocked area, we don’t have the opportunity to frequently visit the beach (although we WILL be taking this to the ocean with us this Summer); however, this is the PERFECT track meet shelter for our little athletes. To have access to immediate privacy, an area where they can escape the sun, and a place to recover without the wind is invaluable between events. This tent/shelter is a lot bigger than I expected. At 5′ 7″, I can lie flat sideways and not touch the tent walls with either my head or my feet, meaning this could also double as a camping tent on warmer nights. I very much like the extra large door that doubles as a mat when on the beach or on the grass at a track meet. If I were camping, this would be valuable as well when packing gear into and out of the tent (I keep talking about camping, but I have never tried it with this tent. I just imagine how it would be now that I’ve had a chance to use the tent for other purposes). Another great feature of the tent is the windows. In my camping tent, I have always disliked having to zip and unzip my windows. I always seem to zip the nylon into the zipper. While windows with zippers are a must in the rain, I make a conscious effort to NOT camp in the rain. Instead of windows that zip, this tent has two simple latches on each corner of each window. It is crazy easy and convenient. The only place where this tent perhaps lacks is in the fact that this is not a popup tent. It’s not a big deal, as it’s plenty easy to assemble, but it’s nowhere near as easy to set up as a popup tent. That said, popup tents have the advantage in the setup, but often cause grief in the takedown. It would be a tossup (no pun intended) on which one I would prefer. I’m excited to try this on the beach, but for now, it provides an amazing amount of utility for outdoor events.

   I burn in the sun like nobody’s business, so I require some sort of shade when I have a beach day. This beach tent is perfect as it’s very lightweight to carry and provides the protection from the sun that I need. The tent is surprisingly big, too… the description says it can fit up to four adults and I believe that to be true. I tend to lug quite a bit to the beach with me and it fit me, a friend, two dogs and all the miscellaneous coolers, bags, and so forth that we tend to bring with us. It’s super handy that the extended part can be folded up and the screen windows covered for privacy — it’s wonderful for changing clothes. As the description says, it’s easier to team up with another person to put the tent up, but it’s doable by one person. I really like this beach tent and anticipate many hours on the beach taking advantage of the protection it gives me.

   We got this tent to provide a place for our kids to play inside and also in the backyard. My husband assembled it in about ten minutes and said it was pretty easy and straightforward, but because of high winds we decided to keep it inside.

   It has one large open wall that can be zipped closed, as well as three large “windows” that zip closed from the inside as well. As an average-height woman I couldn’t stand all the way up inside, but it was still very tall. I could definitely imagine 3-4 adults comfortably playing cards in here.

   There’s no padding on the ground, so that was a little hard, but that’s to be expected with a tent that folds up this compactly. (It’s VERY compact! We were surprised that the box it came in carried the whole tent!)

   Overall the tent is very nice. It feels well made and high quality, and nothing broke on it when we assembled it. Great tent.
