This shade canopy seems to work if: a) there is no wind, and b) the sand is wet and heavy. A friend and I tried multiple times to get this to stand on a hot, dry SW Florida beach on a breezy day. It worked fine in my garden using rocks as weights. But out on the Gulf where there is almost constant wind, the sand was not heavy enough to hold bags in place. If we had a bucket to carry water to where we were trying to fill the sand bags, or we carried the bags to the water’s edge to fill, then carried the full bags of wet sand back to where we wanted to set up, it may have helped. But the wind still lifted the shade canopy causing the poles to sway and finally tip over. I’ll use it for shade over my potting bench in the garden where it can be tied off to wooden poles and my house.

This jewel was a life saver! The canopy exceeded my expectations. It is super easy to put up and just as easy to pack. It held up to some strong breezes and held tight in place. The first day I put the poles toward the middle and it did pretty well. The second day I placed them at the front and it worked like a charm.
I will say that it probably fits three people comfortably. If want more people in the shade go with the larger one.
While I was on the beach I saw a more expensive version fall so I was thrilled with my purchase.

Not the best tent. We bought one similar from Walmart that works better and came with the things that screw into the sand for the poles to go into. This one was blowing all over the place and the tent part kept hitting our heads.

used it for the first time today. So far, I’m in love.
1. Super lightweight and portable. My kid can carry the small duffle that it came it. My kids can’t carry a normal pop up.
2. Great packaging and use of items. They use small bungies to hold the pole pieces together. later you use that same bungie to attach the tent to poles. I love the reuse of items and the extra thought put into making great use of space.
3. the material is SMOOTH. we took this to the beach and the sand fell off the sand bags.
Overall I am impressed. But time will tell.

This is lightweight and compact. Provided shade we desired. The more you set it up, the more you figure out what works. Bought 4 pole item. Felt like we needed a center pole across the front as it sagged in the steady beach wind no matter how we adjusted it. Important to note that without sunscreen, if you sit under the shelter for several hours, you will still want some sunscreen on your skin. SPF 50 is not blocking all burning rays which I knew but we confirmed.👍 overall, not a bad purchase but I saw others on the beach that looked as effective and less work.

I really liked how easy this was to set up and take down. It is just as advertised. After using it once I realized additional poles would be better (4 instead of 2) and the seller is accommodating for me to purchase only the poles and accessories as needed instead of a whole new tent. The only other improvement I could see would be having waterproof fabric. Shout out to their customer service.

We set up the tent like the directions told us but they were confusing instructions. The tent lasted about 5 mins before the 10 mph wind took it down. The material is sand repellent so we used it to sit on before packing it up and never using it again. The poles were flimsy and the sand bags are not big enough. Am returning.
