   This thing was a pain in the butt to set up, but I figured it would be worth it to have protection for my delicate, lily white skin while hanging out on the beach. I thought it was a bit odd that I could see sun beams making their way through, but it was definitely shady so I paid it no mind. Turns out, I should have paid it more mind….lots of mind even! Went out of my way, spent a bunch of money to protect myself and I still got a sun burn. I would have been better off gluing that money together in the shape of a tent and holding it over myself. Great idea, poor execution. Skip this one.

   My family and I love the beach, but I prefer the shade, a cool breeze, and a cool beverage when we’re planning to stay for a full day. This canopy works great, is easy to set up, and can be adjusted based on the sun’s location during the day. The fact that this canopy has 8 stabilizer legs (2 on each corner) sets it apart from those with only 4 stabilizer legs (1 on each corner) and allows it to be more stable in brisk winds. We have used it without issue in steady winds up to 25 mph. Just lay and stretch it out on the beach, fill up the eight sand bags, lift the canopy and insert the 4 expandable poles, and adjust to stabilize. If it’s really windy, the sandbag ends can be buried to provide even more stability. The whole product packs up in a small duffle bag for easy transport. We will never again bother with umbrellas that only provide shade for two people (at most) and blow over in light winds. Money well spent.

   This sun shade is easy to set up and provides a nice shady spot on the beach. It can be set up by one person, but if it’s windy, having another person assist makes it much easier to handle. I’m very happy with the quality and functionality of this beach canopy.

   Super easy to set up, could be done by one person if necessary. We used it at the beach, however it could be used anywhere really, as long as you have something to put in the weight bags. Poles are sturdy, quick set up and tear down. We had a bit of wind one day, and this canopy stood up to it without any problems. Excellent design. We love the SPF protection, especially if we have gotten a bit too much sun the day before or have small children in our group. Best part is that it all folds up small enough to take along in a checked bag or as it’s own carry-on. We’re really very happy we got this.

    Ok, so when I first pulled this out of the bag and felt the stretchy thin material, I thought “no way this is going to work or hold up!” I put it back and started looking for something “better.” Well, I thought about it and re-read the reviews and decided to test it out in the backyard…just to see if it would work. Well, it was better than the other two I purchased and so much easier (and lighter!) We took it to the beach this past weekend where we experienced some very high winds. While others were chasing their umbrellas down the beach, we were relaxing and cool under our cabana. It moved quite a bit, but held up quite nicely. Love this. It still gives you sun, so you still want to put on sunscreen, but not so much that any of us got burned. It’s perfect for our needs!! Love it!

    Pros: -Easy to set up -Holds up well in strong wind -Used six days straight and it didn’t rip or break -Is high enough above ground to accommodate full height chairs Cons: -Near impossible to set up alone in high wind -Provides little protection from uv rays If you’re looking for something to protect your fair skinned friends this isn’t it. When looking at the shade under this tent as compared to others on the beach I noticed this shade wasn’t as dark as all the others. My most burn prone companion had to cut the day short as he was burning while sitting under this tent, however I quite enjoyed being able to tan a little in the shade. If you’re looking for uv protection spend more on another brand. The shade under the others of this same style was darker.
