   I looked quickly and saw 3m x 3m so I figured this would be about 10′ x 10′. It isn’t.

   This really is made specifically for a 1 man hammock.

   The tarp is fairly thin, but the material it’s made with is durable.

   It’s very light weight too.

   Offers some minimal wind and water resistance, but outside of the warmth of summer it’s unlikely to be sufficient.

   There are some basic ground spikes included. They’re unlikely to work in strong winds. Included ropes are good enough.

   I’d say it’s funcitonal-ish, but at $40 you can’t really expect much more from it than it provides.

   I got this to use as a rainfly for my hammock that didn’t come with one. It seems like a pretty decent, yet lightweight, material and it has plenty of tie-down points around the edges. I like that it came with decent stakes and guy lines. Unfortunately, I didn’t have any wind or rain when I used it, but it was easy to set up as well as pack away. The bag it comes with is a bit big for what it is and could be more useful if it was quite a bit smaller. I just put the tarp and accessories in my hammock bag to keep with that, so I’m not even using the bag that came with the tarp.

   Appears to be quite a bit smaller than the images.

   But, it’s easy to set up and is actually waterproof which is all I could really ask for.

   Comes with a nice bag to store it in. It’s easy to pack away. Doesn’t weigh much either which is nice.

   Overall a decent little tarp for a single person.

   My idea when ordering this tarp was to use it as a rainfly over my hammock when hammock camping. The fact that there are only 8 tiedown loops around the edge and none in the middle was not a problem for me. Unfortunately, even though it is seam taped and looks to be fairly waterproof (I didnt test it in the rain), the material seems kind of fragile and I think it might crack and degrade before too long. I say crack because the silver backing looks just painted on, not like it’s the color of the fabric. Also it is not very compact, the bag it comes with has handles and is 19×8 inches and weighs just under 2 pounds. This would increase the size and weight of my hammock camping setup substantially. On the plus side, the reflective silver coating will tend to keep you heat in a bit, especially if you set it up as a ground shelter instead of a rainfly, however the tie out loops are not sew on very well and might rip out unless you reinforce them. I do like it as a tarp to keep in the car for emergencies, but it is not what I expected in size or weight for hammock camping, and quality is so-so. UPDATE AFTER USING IT IN THE FIELD: I took this tarp hammock camping and I was very surprised, I take back everything I said before. The corner loops are very solidly sewn on, and 2 of them provide aluminum tension spreaders to which you attach your ridgelines. Nice. I said the bag was too big, but if you take the time to fold it properly it packs down quite small. The bag is just oversized and can easily accomodate my hammock and straps to keep things together. The material seems good and none of the silver side flaked off. Nice tarp, quite impressed.
