As I said in my title, it was missing parts that I had to buy, but other than that, it’s mostly what I expected. It’s definitely not good for rain or really any extended outdoor use, but it’s not a bad gimmick item.

My daughter bought this as a gift, so we could use as backyard tent. I am a very seasoned tent camper. I have used several models of tents and picked up easily how to pack away my various tents. This is my first time with a tent of this style. It packs just different enough from a sunscreen to make that knowledge useless. I tried to follow the pictures in this tents “instruction” card. These pictures were less than useless. I had to go to YouTube to find a demonstration that really showed how useless those “instructions” were. Even then it took some practice to get it to fold small enough to fit back in the bag. Though at every step I thought I was going to snap the poles. Without the bag it will pop open again. Could be disastrous if it happened in your car. I finally got it packed away, but it should have included real instructions.
I guess now I can use it for our intended purpose.

I can’t speak to how well this tent would work as an actual outdoor tent, but as a mother to a budding 5 year old Trekkie .. this is perfect for indoor fun and entertainment! He watches Star Trek with my hubby and I, and truly enjoys it. I’m really happy I purchased this! It arrived in a timely manner, no issues 🙂

Uh, yes we did!!!!!
This is a nice little treat tent. I wouldn’t camp in it, but it’s nice for play.

This tent has no ventilation when it’s raining. You literally have to zip an outer flap completely 100% over the bug netting flap. Otherwise rain will come through the bug netting. Also, there is no provision at all for cross ventilation. And finally, even though it is very difficult to get back in the bag which I did so successfully twice on different camping trips, on the third time two of the poles just snapped later in my SUV for no apparent reason, as I learned when I tried using the tent the fourth time. I had been pretty excited about this tent upon its arrival. It might be good for use indoors for diehard fans or kids to play in. Especially if you never, ever need to get it to go back in its bag.

It’s super cute. It took a couple youtube videos to figure out how to put it back in the case. But it’s easy to set up and fun to hang out in. My 10 yo can do it all by herself. My daughter and I slept in it one night, depsite the hubby and son sleeping soundly in our RV. We had a blast. I did have to open it at some point to get fresh air. There are no other vents. It is perfect for any Trekkie.
