   This is well worth the price – it is by far the best sun shelter I have ever used or seen on the beach. It does take up a good bit of space on the beach, so be mindful if you’re in a crowded area, but it provides lots of shade and you don’t have to feel like you’re crouched down in some teeny little pop up tent. Set up a few chairs underneath, spread out, enjoy. *Tip: You do have to super full the sand bags (way more than you think the first time) and stretch them out wide to get the shelter to stay sturdy. It’s easy once you figure it out. Works great on the beach (with sand). Does not work great on a campsite with pegs (no sand to hold the “arms” in place).

   Wir haben keinen Probeaufbau gemacht, sondern es direkt am Strand auaprobiert… der Empfang für das Anteiltungs-Video war zu schlecht, aber wir wurden der Sache Herr. Wenn man es mal gemacht hat, geht es sehr gut.
   Pro-Tipp: Wenn man die Tasche zu Ende ausräumt, bevor man die Säcke mühselig mit der Hand füllt, findet man auch eine Schaufel darin….so geht es viel schneller.

   Purchased specifically for a Florida gulf coast beach vacation in July 2024 for our family of 4 and it got the job done! We will take it back again this year. Keeping tension when setting up is key. If it’s windy, dig holes in the sand to put the full corner “bags” in, and then bury them for extra stability. It does help to have a larger shovel than the scoop it comes with. My only complaint is that it’s impossible to set up/take down without getting completely covered in sand but maybe that’s the Midwest girl in me not used to sand in everything. We rinsed it out at our vacation rental, brought it back home on the airplane and rinsed it out well again at home, ran it through the washer and air dried and it’s like new again. It’s worth the money to purchase it and fly to a destination versus renting shade once you get there if you plan to use it multiple times. Would recommend!

   We overnighted this for our beach trip this weekend after reading a ton of reviews, and I’m so glad we did. Pros: it’s light weight, no rusting, and sturdy even on a windy day (it’s the beach, of course it’s windy), and has great coverage. Cons: it took more time (lots of sand digging) to set up than a regular canopy. I watched the videos beforehand and once we figured it out, it was very easy. We’ve been here for 5+ hrs and it hasn’t moved! Would definitely recommend! We’ve been through so many canopies in the past and I’m hopeful this one will last a long while! ETA: it was soooo easy to take down and pack up!!

   Dark Blue: 10’x1-‘: 4 Poles:—The sun Ninja was very easy to set up. Be sure to watch the set up video. We bought 2 extra shovels so more than one person can fill the sandbag corners. It is important to over-fill the corner sandbags and stretch them out on the sand. That and the poles are what gives stability to the structure. This beach tent takes up a lot of room. Make sure you aren’t encroaching on your nearby neighbors. It takes a little practice to set it up for windy conditions, but the Sun Ninja generally works very well and easily covers 4 people and their beach equipment. And at the end of the day, it is very easy to empty the sandbags at each corner and fold into an amazing small carry bag. We are very pleased with it. Most importantly if set up correctly it works amazingly well in very strong beach wind.

    07/2024 – Updating after another season and 2 solid weeks of use – TOTALLY WORTH EVERY PENNY. This sucker is fantastic. We have put it through the wringer over the past two weeks, up and down every day, on the beach for hours with decent winds every day. It sets up in less than 5 minutes and stays up for as long as you want it to. Pro tips: – lay it out flat and stretch the corners as far as you can before digging a hole for each pocket. Fill the pockets with sand and bury each pocket in the hole you dug for it. The pockets can hold so much sand – fill them as much as you can. The more you fill and the deeper you bury them, the more wind it can withstand. – once the corners are filled and buried, place the poles about 6 inches in from the corners of the top and stand those suckers up. – if you don’t want as much profile, you can get away with 2-3 poles in the front, setting the whole thing up like a lean-to. – secure the poles with the elastic ties and you’re golden. Update! I called customer service today and they returned my call within 10 mins. They ordered 2 replacement poles for me and expedited shipping so I will have the poles in 48 hours. Perfect customer service! Hi! I’ve been on the beach this week and we brought my Sun Ninja beach tent. Here’s my honest review: So easy! Just stretch the tent out flat on the sand, pulling the 4 corner pouches out super far. Dig holes for each pouch and start filling the pouches with the sand. Make sure the pouch is filled to the brim and snug down in that hole, then cover the pouch with even more sand so it’s buried in that hole. Then place the poles about a foot in from the corner seams, rubber ball up, and stake them down in the sand. You can use 2 poles to do like a lean-to, or 4 to give you more room. Put the elastic bungees on top so they attach the tent fabric to the rubber ball and pull tight. You’re done! When all the parts work, it’s amazing! Pros: ✅ the XL is huge and shady and has room for 4 comfortably, but you could easily fit like 8-10 people under the shade in a pinch ✅ when all the parts are working, you can have it up in 5 mins or less ✅ when you have it up and staked right, it can withstand a lot of wind, not just breeze ✅ comes with a great carry bag and small shovel to fill the pouches Con – just one: ❌ we’ve had 2 faulty poles that get stuck and won’t quite fit all the sections together snugly – I’m going to contact Sun Ninja and will update this review with their response

    This is a photo of our trip to Sardinia, Italy. We bought the XL version and brought it all the way from Ireland knowing how hot it will get here in summer. We have two young kids so wanted to make sure they’re fully covered. It was quick and easy to setup and very stable even in a fairly strong wind. Gives excellent shelter. Everyone on the beach was looking jealously at us as they all had the standard small parasols.

    It does cost more than most brands but you have to pay for quality. I’d definitely recommend this to anyone heading for the sun. Enjoy!
