Bought this as a less expensive alternative to a competitor. I like how easy it is to set up. In heavy winds, it can pull out. (Used in the Outer Banks and it gets windy there…) An anchor point like the competitor would be great!! But, I saved $100, so I guess I will either get used to having to re-do it in high winds or add an anchor point myself. 😉

This Sunsail shade is really a novel idea that works!! We had 5 adults with beach paraphernalia comfortably sitting under its shade. The wind was strong enough that a conventional beach umbrella would have blown away. This shade was perfect!!! Set up was a “breeze”. It is really cool looking and easy to move if the wind changes direction. It is not effective when there is no wind or when the wind is blowing inconsistently. This product makes beach going fun and I’ve had several people tell me they want one too!!

I purchased this product in the winter for a vacation planned in the summer. On first use, out of the bag, the cord inside broke immediately. I contacted the company to ask for a refund, and have been going back-and-forth with the CEO via email. I will happily update this if and when I receive a full refund for my product. In the meantime, all I have to say is that it did not work and I cannot give it any more stars than one.
