I just recently received my 3 season bivy tent and I’m pleasantly surprised! For a big guy like myself, this little tent still has enough room to be comfortable but still had a small enough footprint to be stealthy if needed! It’s compact and light, while still having a good quality feel!
I really like the wind break wall also! The upper vent definitely helps with condensation and increased air flow! Great quality for the money and super easy to set up!
I still need to rain test it though, but I expect it to do great!

This is a very high quality tent. The seams are double stitched and the nylon is heavy enough to stand up to use. The problem? NO POLES INCLUDED! If you read far enough into the product description, it does warn you that the tent “is not shipped with trekking poles, allowing the user the freedom to choose their own poles.” You know which poles I want? The ones that fit and should come with the tent! I just returned it, as a high quality tent that can’t be put up is of no use to me. Buy something else!

To me it is the best shelter for an overnight hike in every way. It weighs less than 2 lbs without the pegs. In terms of weight and bulk it is the same as a bivy bag. It beats a bivy bag by a wide margin in terms of ventilation – it is lined with mesh openings. And one can sit up in there to have a meal or to change, as it were a solo tent. In other words one can carry the weight and bulk of a bivy bag but enjoy the comfort of a solo tent. Given the fact that it is not really a tent it can be set up literally anywhere if the place is large enough for a bivy bag. For someone who fancies ‘steath’ camping this is it – it is olive green in colour – exactly the one favoured by the military. It is made with very good quality fabrics and all seams are taped. The workmanship is superb. I have no doubt that it will stand up to the elements, though I have yet to test it in a downpour. I would highly recommend this ‘tent’ to anyone who struggles to find ‘the ideal solo shelter’ for an overnight walk. It is absolutely value for money.

I bought this on my quest to lighten up my pack a little and because, let’s face it, poles break. I can and did set this tent up with only using parachute cord, the poles weren’t even necessary. I do recommend setting it up before you go on your trip. You may find you like it better with trecking poles. The poles just made it more ridged, took all the wrinkles out, but if you don’t mind wrinkles in the fabric you can use a ridge line. The front will zip closed and open like an awning. You can use rope if you have plenty of trees around or you can use trecking poles. My issue with tents has been poles and packability as I try using a smaller pack and try to lose pack weight. This shelter packs up small, the stuff sack is generous meaning the tent can quickly be stuffed away. Plenty of ventilation and screening. Love tarp camping, but warmer months bugs make it a little harder to get sleep, and most bivey tents are too small. This will keep bugs at bay, has enough room for myself and gear to be covered and stay dry, and I can hastily set it up with only a ridge line if I had to. So far it’s the one I’m using from now on

This is a very nice bivvy tent that isn’t too hard to setup but you have to be patient with it while doing so. The only thing that I don’t like about it is that the new upgraded version is less than 20 dollars more with the additional flap that covers the opening where your head is located to ensure that rain water doesn’t get in while the flap is open during a shower or storm. I would’ve waited on this feature instead of buying this one knowing that was a potential flaw that would limit my review to 4 stars instead of 5. One more thing, please carry a cloth or something with you to wipe down the walls in the morning because this definitely has condensation tendencies. That is expected since this is a single skin shelter and not a design flaw. This recommendation if for camping and bushcrafting information only. Enjoy!

I really liked how light and simple this tent was. this is my first ever backpacking tent and it clipped to my pack easily. I really appreciated that this tent uses no bulky, fussy poles. I was able to set it up with only the steaks and a ridgeline. Two of us shared it and it was TIGHT but possible. FYI even with the ventilation flaps, keeping the rainfly shut caused a lot of condensation but it would have probably been better if it was just 1 person inside or if we had used trekking poles to make the rainfly into a little porch roof situation. 10/10 happy with this purchase and cant wait to camp again!
