Pretty simple tent footprint, it adds an extra level of protection against war and abrasion as well as a ground moisture barrier. The tie-out tabs are well stitched, and color coded for alignment with the Morrison 2 tent’s poles. Folds down to an extremely small tight package, and will fit with the rest of the Morrison 2 inside that tent’s included stuff sack. This footprint has worked fine and shows no signs of wear after a week or two of camping out.

Fits perfectly for the Morrison tent

The Mountainsmith Morrison 2 is a great tent and this footprint is a great accompaniment. Adds a little extra protection to your floor. The tent is purposely designed to be thin including the floor so this is a great add on to give you a better sense of security.
The fabric is strong and durable. The stitching looks good. If you are fortunate enough to own the Mountainsmith Morrison 2, I recommend this footprint. It is lighter than a tarp and more durable then Tyvek.

This is just the right size (little smaller than the footprint so water doesn’t pool) and it’s well made. It is thinner than I thought it would be though. The sew lines and grommets are very nice though, workmanship is great.
Definitely helps to protect the tent floor and is a must have if you’re not camping on soft ground. Had to deduct 1 star for the lack of thickness though. I might double up for those really rocky locations.

I got the Mountainsmith Genesee 4 person tent Mountainsmith Genesee 4P Tent. It is a perfect fit and keeps ground moisture from wetting the bottom of the tent plus adds protection from rocks and sticks. The color coded loops make it so that you are sure to get the right side up and the dirt side down. I can never remember which is up and down until the tent is spread out, so I wrote top and bottom on the corners of the footprint with a permanent marker so I’m sure to get it right the first time.
Dimensions are: 78-1/2″ X 90″
Weight: 14oz.
5 Stars for a quality product.

As expected, this product fit perfectly on my Morrison 2 Person tent. (As it should since this is from the same manufacturer.) It is also small enough to stuff into the tent sack which is a plus.
This is my first time purchasing a footprint, so when I received it I felt iffy with the material as it felt thinner than I was expecting a tent footprint to be.
I recently went on a camping/backpacking trip. Setting up is straightforward. I like how the corners are color coded to match the colors of the tent. Also, I was forced to set up my tent on very rocky ground. I was definitely concerned with the rocks ripping through the footprint and tent. After days of going inside/outside, stepping/rolling around and throwing gear in and out, despite the rocks there are zero holes in my tent! I am now a believer on the importance of tent footprints.
I am pleased with spending a little more to get a proper tent footprint. I definitely recommend it.

The last two times we have gone camping it has poured if not stormed almost the whole time. I can honestly say our little tent never experienced any water issues with the mat. We did have rain come in the top but you can stop sideways rain from coming in the air vents! I would recommend this also for the protection of the floor of your tent. We’ve stayed in some pretty rough areas and the footprint has definitely proved worth the money. It’s easy to clean and we have not encountered any wear and tear yet after a few uses. Overall, great product!

Fits good for my tent.
However seems to be thin

First, I’m an amateur camper and I know little about footprints and tents. That said…It’s thin and similar to the material the tent’s roof is made of, which surprised us. It seems well made, but our impression was it seemed on the “flimsy” side. I rated it 5 because it’s of good quality, and just because I thought it seemed “light-duty” it’s likely that way to keep the weight down. And, both the tent and this footprint fit together in the tent bag that comes with the Genesee, which is a huge plus. We bought this mainly to protect the bottom of the tent. It seems it will do that fairly well, but will also help give another layer of protection from dampness, etc. This is nowhere the ruggedness, or element-proof, as a regular tarp, but it’s weight/size, transporting efficiency and having it the perfect size fitting under the tent, this seems like a good investment for a quality tent that we want to last!

Nice design, weathered first storm just fine. Works best when tent rib tips are in holes closest to tent so that the foot print remains totally under tent. I can even fit it into the M2 tent bag with every thing else which is a big plus. It isn’t totally necessary and a little pricey for a ground cloth but we’re glad we got it.
