This tent is lightweight yet quite durable, good material and well thought out. Easy to erect and stow, it has all the little nice details such as clip to hold the window flaps open are not rigid but flexible so it's easy to clip it closed. Sandbags are well placed and ample in size and believe me, we get strong winds here in Hawaii, even in a 20 knots-plus gust, this tent wouldn't even budge. Overall for the price, it's a very good beach tent, it's one of our whatcampingtent.com's good purchase experiences. Oh, and the customer service. So I'm rather fussy about quality control, after six months of use I noticed a tiny fray in a seam on the lower flap, I inquired about this issue with the seller. Their response was not in days but in a matter of hours, a replacement item will be sent, just give us time was their reply. Well, in less than four days, a package arrived and we received a replacement tent! Now that's good customer service. We are so happy that in fact, we're looking to buy another gift from this seller for this holiday season. Thank you!

This Skydome tent sets up in under 5 minutes, and it has space for 4 adults in the dry. Made by Coleman, I can't find out what fabric the tent is made of - even on Coleman's website! I believe it is polyester. It has welded seams and is 8 feet by 7 feet, and has a 4 foot 8 inch height in the center. That's actually taller than other Skydome tents. I'm 74. I don't bend well! I need that extra headroom so I can get dressed without falling out of the tent and rolling downhill! Sadly, that's happened! The tent has gear pockets inside above the floor, and a mesh "gear loft" in the center of the roof. Understand that you can't put much weight in the "gear loft!" The bottom extends up 6 inches and the walls are welded onto it. That means even if it rains, the inside of the tent stays try. Nice! It has a rain fly to keep you dry, and help keep the heat in it. They say it is suitable for backpacking and hiking. Right. Ain't happening! It weighs a HEFTY 11 1/3 pounds. But for your family camping trip? It's perfect! It will sleep 4 using sleeping bags. If you like luxury in the wilds, it will hold a single queen sized airbed with lots of space left over for gear storage. It even has a port on one corner so you can run an extension cord through the wall without water getting in! I love it! Later --- Now that I have more experience with this tent, I've learned a thing or two. First, you must take the lights OUT of the tent before you strike the tent and fold it for storage. If you haven't already, rip that white tape off of the carry bag that says basically "rip me off". This adds a fair amount of storage space, which you need! Why? You'll never get the tent back in that compact storage bag again unless you do expand the bag! And don't race to pop the tent up. You'll end up having to start all over again. The instructions are sewn into the storage bag. Follow them and you'll succeed! This a warm weather tent! There is mesh for a roof. There's a rain fly that can cover the roof, but you are fully open to the sky and weather without the rain fly. Due to the external skeleton, it is impossible to use the rain fly to stop the loss of heat. For winter and cold weather camping, this tent is NOT your friend! The tent has a "lighting system". Once the tent is up, you thread the light string through either a solid diffuser or through loops beside the diffuser for brighter light. It is rather a pain to push the light string through the diffuser. It's much easier to run them through the loops. There is a battery pocket at the top of the front wall. Before you strike the tent you MUST remove the lights!

I love these. Ideally, I’d like to have a set of 4 for the price I paid for two, but clean up is super easy and they’re lightweight and durable.

Been holding off one writing this review for a year now. But I wanted to make sure before I gave an opinion. 1st I would like to say please do yourself a favor and research canvas tents as well as bell tents before you buy. There is alot of care that goes into one of these tents but for good reason. 1st the quality really surprised me. Very well made, heavy duty and up to the task. The cavas is thick and the bottom liner is a beast. Together they are an unstoppable pair. Water tight all around in any weather, laughts at 30 mile and hour winds and will have you feeling like your at the sauna on 20° nights. This bad boy is a home, a trusted shelter in a storm. All guide lines are holding up, all seams, all zippers, all poles and all ties. I have put this thing to the test over the last year and my family totally loves it. I do wish they had given another pocket or two. Maybe bigger vents up top hard to get smoke out if it gets in. Would 100% buy again. Now I dont know how nice a name brand 1,500 dollar tent actually is but going from 200 dollar walmart tents to this was a game changer in alot was ways, mostly good for those that wanna camp in any weather. Just do your research find out if a heavy canvas tent is right for your needs before you buy.

I really love this WolfWise instant sun shelter. I'm not new to instant sun shelters, I currently own a Lightspeed Seaside quick shelter that I bought 3 years ago but my kids are now 6 years old and we needed a bigger one, so I got the WolfWise 4 person shelter. Highly recommended and I can see this fitting a family of 4 easily. (I attached pics showing the WolfWise 4 person instant sun shelter next to my smaller Lightspeed Seaside 2 person instant sun shelter for comparison in size and portability because I wanted to highlight how much more space you gained while keeping a similar packed size) Packed up, it's super portable and packs well in the car for taking to the park, beach, relative's house, etc. I was surprised that The WolfWise 4 person wasn't bigger than my Lightspeed 2 person when packed up. I was sceptical that getting a larger shelter would be bulky but this was not the case at all. It's quite light, even my 6 year old can carry it. I LOVE that the instructions are sewn in to the inside of the carry bag and that the bag unzips lengthwise and has properly sized carry handles. My Lightspeed 2 person also had instructions but the drawstring bag made it slightly harder to see and pack up. You won't need them after the first couple of times but if someone else is setting it up, this can truly take the guesswork out of it. The set up is super easy. I recommend watching the WolfWise video that shows how to set up and put away the shelter, the video is at the end after you scroll through all the product pictures. I do feel that some user videos over complicate things. The two things to pay attention to is a) straighten the legs before raising the canopy and stand "behind" the shelter when you pull it up to open, then make sure to lock it in place. It takes me about 30 seconds to set up, about a minute to pack away (since I like rolling them up nice and tight to make it easier to fit in the carry bag). A bonus surprise is that the floor flap doubles as a zippered privacy door, so you can change inside. I didn't see a single picture showing this and found it quite by accident when I noticed the double zipper in the front opening. The three mesh windows also zip up so you can leave it open for ventilation or closed for privacy or to block off sun. There's a hanging hook on the top and mesh storage pockets under each window as well as near the roof. There's 3 generous sand bags on the outside (you can fill it with sand if you set it up on the beach), I usually place the included tent stakes in one of the sand bags so they don't get misplaced or forgotten. There are also wind ropes but I typically get by with setting up stakes only as the mesh windows allow air to blow through and it stays in place as long as it is staked down. In conclusion, really a great sun shelter. No complaints with anything. I thought my Lightspeed 2 person from 3 years ago was amazing but this one is truly better and the details like a zippered carry bag vs drawstring, folding legs (to allow it to pack smaller), zippered front for privacy and the spring locking mechanism make this a great recommendation! Wife and kid(s) approved!

I mistakenly thought this would have a floor, because it was shown in pictures. But according to the video the 8x8 size has a floor, the 10x10 size does not so that it can fit over a picnic table. I found this Coleman Skyshade Screen Dome Canopy difficult to set up. I needed a space about 3 times the length of the canopy in order to put the poles together and begin to thread them through. It was more difficult to set up than some tents I've had, because the poles kept coming apart particularly at the bent link on either side. I plan to bring it on a family camping trip that has a very large wide open space, but I would not bring it on a trip where you're limited to one small camping spot. Once it was set up in my backyard, I returned a couple hours later and found it was way hotter inside the canopy than outside of it in the sun. Despite the mesh and sunshade, you're going to want to have fans going if you expect it to be cooler. For real life application, honestly if the bugs are bad enough that you need this then you're going to get dozens of bites in the process of setting it up. Finally, one of the ball ends on the poles, which are not supposed to be removeable, was already off when I took it out of the packaging. I kept trying to stick it on and it kept falling off. I like that it has tie downs to stake the upper part as well to help with wind, but I'm not seeing a lot of scenarios where this would be my go to.

  • The stitching is already coming out and I haven’t even used the product, that is what it came like directly out of the box. There is fabric sewn underneath a piece of Velcro that clearly is not supposed to be sewn like that, the company responded with “the item passed the quality inspection before packaging”. This company clearly does not care about the quality of the items they are selling. Would not recommend buying anything from this company.

Purchase this for my SS 550 Palomino truck camper to add a screened in portion before entering the camper. Also added the rain fly in all I’m pretty happy had two storms blow through with 50+ mile an hour winds and if you close down the rain fly it held up pretty good, it sags a little in the middle because I can’t pull it all the way up on my camper as this is made for an SUV.

Not sure we even were sent the right tent, has golden bear printed on the outside, not wfs. With everything closed, a lot of light still comes through. You can easily see how bad the stitching is and one of the clips is already falling off. Really glad we set it up in our backyard before we took it camping. Only good thing I can say is it is tall inside and is a good looking tent but will most likely fall apart after a couple uses.

We loved this addition to the quick set. And after realizing that you can attach it with the long straps of velcro already in your quick set it will be even better. We set ours up at night in a rush and didn't realize this until the end.

  • Used the Shade for the first time on a vacation to the Hamptons after being referred to them by a friend. Beyond the amount of shade (had more than enough for myself and girlfriend), it was extremely easy transport and set up. I bet I could've carried 10 of these from my car to the beach if needed. The initial set up was pretty intuitive and only took a couple minutes too. Some additional things I learned that you really only realize while on your trip: + It can actually fit in your suitcase -- was a huge help transporting since I was coming out of state + It works with very little wind -- one day there was only a slight breeze, but it worked great and we didn't even need to pull out our wind assist accessory. I was surprised how little wind it took to work + It felt like an investment at first, but after seeing the daily rental prices for umbrellas (which I find to be lower quality), I'm pretty confident I'll come out ahead price-wise Overall pretty satisfied.

There are no instructions. Everything feels super cheap. The top is definitely not waterproof. The bottom is the cheap waterproof material that is SUPER LOUD and crinkly. I can’t imagine actually sleeping in this tent with how loud it is. There’s normally a knob to hold the front zipper part back but not with this tent. You just have to wrap it around and figure out a way to make it stay. If this were $15 it would be worth it. I think we will be returning it.

This review is for the six person tent with the weatherproof screen room. Summary Lots of floorspace, huge windows, great ventilation, and a weatherproof screen room are some of the wonderful features that makes this tent an obvious choice for warm weather "glamping" in rainy areas. Beware that the abundance of mesh makes this tent a poor choice for cold weather camping, and the heavy weight (30+lbs) is not ideal if you plan on hiking to your camping spot. Tent Dimensions - The bedroom is 9ft long x 10ft wide - The screen room is 4ft long x 10ft wide - The vestibule extends out an additional 3ft - The tent stands at 6ft 4in high at the tallest point - Without the rainfly (and therefore without the vestibule), the total dimensions are 13ft long x 10ft wide - With the rainfly (including the vestibule), the total dimensions are 16ft long x 10ft wide Pros - Phenomenal ventilation, even with the rainfly on - Extremely spacious interior: can (barely) fit 2 queen-sized air mattresses side-by-side - Huge, beautiful windows - The screen room is amazing! Great place to setup some chairs for bug-free lounging. The screen room also helps keep mud out of the bedroom - Multiple storage pouches - Relatively easy to setup (appx 15 minutes with 2 people) - Has port for extension cord. The port has a zipper to keep out bugs - Can stand up inside the tent (6ft 4in tall in center) - Vestibule area in the front of the tent is convenient for stowing gear out of the rain - Floor vent helps with air ventilation when the windows must be zipped up during rain Cons - Very heavy (30+ lbs) - No good place to hang a tent light (the ceiling is entirely mesh) - Storage pouches are high on the walls, which means you must stand up to access the contents - The screen room DOES protect against rain but DOES NOT protect against flooding ground water. The screen room only has tub floors on 3 sides... the front is mesh only. So flooding water could pour in from the front. However, part of the floor in the screen room is mesh, which helps to drain the water. Please note that this issue would only arise in a flood, not a simple rainfall - Screen room doesn't completely zip up, there is a small gap between the zippers which lets bugs inside - Coleman could've picked better colors. This thing looks like it's from the 90s - The rainfly only has partial coverage, which isn't ideal for camping in heavy rainfall. The windows must be zipped up when it's raining, which will contribute to heat buildup inside - Lots of mesh = great ventilation for warm nights... but contributes to poor insulation for cold weather camping. This tent is built for 2 seasons (late spring, summer, early fall) - Expensive - Stakes aren't heavy duty. May need to replace after several uses

This tent accompanied us to both Turks and Caicos and our local state beach in Maryland. Was a great rest spot for our toddler. Loved having the option to fill it with water although generally we just used it for a nap spot and somewhere to keep snacks out of the sun! Folds up compact and easy to transport.
