Have not yet used these crucifixion spikes, but these things are girthy. At 10" long and almost half an inch thick, these things are sure to hold anything down in the strongest of storms. And since we seem to LOVE camping in the worst storms of the year, I cannot wait to try these out. The hammer is pretty decent. Definitely made of a hard plastic or something vs metal like a normal hammer from the store. But may work just fine for camping. I ordered two sets of these, and the hammers were different in a variety of trivial ways. Nothing really to complain about, but wanted to write a thorough review. The weights were noticeably different in my hand, and after weighing them, one came in at 1lb 2.7oz and the other came in at 1lb 5.3oz. Not enough to complain about, but definitely some extra weight behind the second one. The lengths of them are different by a quarter inch. The grips are slightly different as well, with one having finger grip cross hatching stamped in the rubber. The cord that the hammer comes with is attached by a Philips screw on one, and a grommet on the other, and the length of the cord is about an inch longer on one of them. Last thing, the form of the metal changed at some point too as you can see in my pictures. It's like playing a live game of spot the difference. Otherwise, the spikes are all the same, no visual defects on any of them. Looks like a great set so far.

Took this tent bikepacking. Short sticks allowed to pack light. All mounted on Salsa anything cradle. The tent design with bike parking/storage was nice, giving peace of mind that my bike is safe overnight. Setting up the top was easy with color matched points. With a small chair I could eat breakfast next to my bike all within the tent. You could get a lighter tent setup without bike focused mounting solutions but do you really need ultra light gear? This setup is worth the money for solo or duo bike trips. Best part, it’s still a light tent you could use for hiking or glamping.

We brought this along on our beach trip just in case we would need it. Luckily for us the beach was nice and sunny and this came in handy. Surprisingly it was a lot easier to setup than we thought it was going to be. We set this up right before lunch and it stayed up until we left, which was around dinner. Even with the breeze and then wind, this tent stayed up the whole time. While we didn't have too much water to deal with, when the marine layer started coming in, the mist from that did get on the tent and we just watched it bead right off of this tent, so definitely mist/waterproof. The material itself is very light weight and does allow a nice flow of air to come through. While it did shade us from the sun, there was still some visibility underneath. The one thing I was afraid of was the sand tearing up the bagging area and it sticking to the material. Neither of these has happened. I also found that this works great at the park. While we have more beach trips planned this summer, not only can I not wait, but for now, its been working at the park and even in our backyard!

Its more orange than yellow and i thought it came with no instructions but after putting the tent away the bag holding the tent was flipped inside out and i found it sewn into the bag which would have been great to let us know in the description i did set it up by the picture otherwise its a good tent and more suitable for 2 people unless u sleep the short way it fits 3 but you would have to be short im 5'1 and it fit me

We are a family of 5, 3 kids from 11yr-5yrs old and a very tall husband, oh and we can't forget the dog! We all fit! We used 2 air mattresses, a kid cot, and two individual floor mats, plus a dog bed and we still had room! We loved all the windows that could be used and the option of a front awning. It also has a wall that zips shut to give 2 different spaces and then can separate the back room into 2 as well (we didn't need to use it). You can also hang lights and it even has a little flap to put the plug through to go out and plug in. My 6ft 5in husband couldn't quite stand all the way up in it but it was very close. Putting the tent up and putting it away took about 5-8 min each! We liked that we didn't have to put poles together and then feed them through the loops, no family fueds while putting it up!

I'm an avid hiker and rock climber, and I can honestly say this isn't something you could carry with you very far. The travel bag everything comes in is great, but very long and unwieldily for hikes. I've seen a couple videos of people assembling it by themselves, but I'm not at that skill level with the product yet and I'm not sure I ever will be (taking it down alone is doable). The instructions are not clear, but plenty of people have posted quick how-to videos that help tremendously. The rope that comes with this is totally useless, I took it out of the bag for the very first time and it was already unraveling. There are two poles that are provided to create the canopy, but aren't very stable. All that being said, I love this product. Each aspect - the tent, cot, and air mattress - work wonderfully alone or all together. I'm 5'6" and the tent can be a little snug, but with the four windows there's plenty of cool breeze. The whole thing is extremely comfortable, was pleasantly surprised. If you find the cot and tent is too small, I recommend using them without the air mattress. That will give you some extra needed space. A great product if you're going to be camping several days in a row.

Extremely disappointed due to the redesign. What idiot decide it would be a great idea to make it where you CAN NOT unzip the mesh on the front or the sides which will burn you out because it gets hot and blocks most wind. The front only has one access, you open and roll the whole front to one side, previous model was made where you either open the entire front or just a top window. New model with one big opening defeats the purpose in having the shelter where I can get wind block from the main opening but still see good through the open window when it’s hot or cold. I took pictures where you can see the mesh doesn’t have a zipper on the new model. Mind you I have a family member that has the old model and it is great all they had to do is add a zipper to this and I would have liked it like previous model. The tent top is attached to the tent right out of the box but I am sure it’s going to be a love hate for most people because it has a part that sticks out for sun shade but also is going to catch wind and/or stab you as you get in and out or the tent. I added a picture that way you can see. I was happy that I was going to change to this tent because I have used the previous model before and it has the mesh that unzips well (as of right now). I will ship this back because obviously the pictures show the sides and front down which it will not do, bad marketing. We use the tent at our kids ball games and like the windows completely open (unless it’s really cold then just the front open), so they can see us and we can cheer for them (go team!), also so we can take pictures of the kids playing sports and you can’t do that through the mesh. Buy an EasyGoProducts tent it is smaller in size but cheap and you won’t have a heat stroke and be able to use it the way you want.

We are super impressed with the quality of this tent! We built an elevated platform with insulated floors and two 10x16 decks to make it into our vacation “cabin” in the mountains. We’ve stayed in it about 9weeks since erected 7 months ago and couldn’t be happier. We also purchased the rain fly and highly recommend getting that with your tent. With four men it was erected in about 30 minutes. We used ropes to pull the rain fly in place after the tent was up. We have a wood stove and have been impressed how well the tent retains the heat. We stared a roaring fire before bed when it was 55 degrees Fahrenheit. When we went to bed it was 82 degrees. In the morning it was 68 degrees in the tent and 52 degrees outside

Easy setup Easy to take down and put away Very light I had no problem with it at the ocean

The material of this tarp seems strong, so it will keep the bottom of your tent clean and protect it from cuts and scrapes. If you have six-sided tent or tipi, this will be great. In the case of a tipi you can even set it up inside after the tipi is set up, avoiding you getting wet if it's raining. As a tarp, it was easy to attach guy lines and set it up with a couple of hiking poles. The shape provides a really good overhang to avoid water coming in. Nice big area underneath too. About my only complaint would be the small grommets, which normally I prefer because they are harder to tear. In this case however they force you to either attach little cord loops or use thin round stakes. My v-shaped aluminum and titanium stakes wouldn't go through the grommets so I had to attach little cord loops to each one. No problem. Note that the tarp includes nice reflective guy lines with tensioners but no stakes, you will have to provide your own. Nice color, nice price and well made.

We went camping a few weeks ago and it was pointed out to me that if I had different stakes, my pop up screen would have stayed up in the dry dirt better. So, these are a screw type stake. They came quickly and I will check them out in a week or so to see if the screw design really helps. The bag is nice except it came with a hole in the bottom, thus the 4 star.

The best tent ever! Only thing is Wish they made a back clip on shade for tho! Otherwise great easy to pop up once you know how to do it I can do it alone if not windy!!

I purchased this tent for use during a 10 day Philmont hike with the Scouts. I used the tent once this July for a training hike. I set it up for a second time in August and the pole snapped as I set it up. (See attached photo) It was after the 30 day whatcampingtent.com return period. They (Big Agnes) not only refused to send me a new pole, but they would not allow me to purchase a new one. I was told “they don’t sell parts”. I sent the pole in to be repaired and that was over a month ago and I still did not get it back. I have Marmot tents and Eureka tents and never experienced anything like this. I absolutely do not recommend this tent or this company. I have no confidence this tent would survive in the field on the 10 day hike in Philmont that I purchased it for.

Decent quality, was very fun the one night we were able to use it. It was probably 40 outside, easily was able to get the indoor temp up to 60 with a small electric heater. It really doesn’t like New England snow though, one 5-6” storm and it was a pile of plastic

We were waiting for a second set of poles to arrive and decided to take our Neso to our local park to do a test run on it before we go to the beach later this summer. We have only ever had traditional canopies for our outdoor adventures and I have to say this was super easy to set up and use. Granted we did not fill the bags with sand(we don’t have beaches in WV), we just staked it in the ground for our test run. Setting up with stakes took all of 3 minutes to accomplish, we imagine filling the bags with natural elements like sand will take a bit longer but seems like maybe only an extra 10 minutes with 2 of us working on it at the same time. We had about 10MPH breezes rolling through and the Neso didn’t even notice the breeze. I think the only thing I would say is a con is that it doesn’t come with any type of shovel or anything to help you get natural elements into the sand bags. But that’s easily remedied if you buy a folding shovel(we will before our beach trip), it will fit easily into the bag, as the carrying bag has extra room in there. A feature I didn’t realize was there… The carrying bag has an insulated pouch to carry a cold drink or two. Which is a nice touch. All in all, the set up was easy It provided sufficient shade for our family of 4. Didn’t budge in 10MPH breeze. Got a few compliments. Easy take down. Taking down and packing up was a breeze, so much easier than a traditional canopy. We are really happy with the performance and ease of use for this product. Update: Took our Neso sun shade out for its maiden voyage on the beaches of Outer Banks. The first day within the first 2 hours both poles snapped in half. Luckily we had purchased an extra set of poles before we left for the beach. Could by user error as we had only set it up at our local park before our beach vacation where there was a small breeze. The rest of our vacation our extra set of poles kept our Neso up, so as I said the snapping of the first 2 poles could have just been user error or a manufacturing issue. Setting it up, using sand to fill the bags was a breeze, quick and almost effortless. I had mentioned thinking we would need a shovel, but I was wrong, it was easy to fill the bags by hand and probably faster than using a shovel. We also took an extra step and buried the bags in the sand, which I think helped to keep the bags stable in the high winds. Taking down, I thought we would have issues with sand wanting to stick to the bag, but again I was wrong, if you shake the bags out properly, the sand doesn’t stick in the bags. All in all we are very happy with our purchase of our Neso Sunshade. We are sad that we are back down to one set of poles as we would like to have the additional set for other applications.
