I've always wanted a hub style tent. I really like the shape of this, it allows the perfect extra space for back packs ect, plus our 2 twin air mattress. And it is so easy to set up! It is pretty heavy and long when it's in it's carrying case, but it fits in my car so that's ok!. I also have not had the chance to test it in the rain. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the bottom material is pretty thin. We moved it around after is was set up to get the tent on a flat spot, and that bit of movement rubbed small holes in the bottom.

Heavy duty metal stakes that are 11.5" tall. It has 45°sharp cut at the bottom for easier staking as well. Hook is 1-1/4" wide and uniformly painted to not worry about it rusting. I tried to bend it with my hands and looks solid just to emphasize that these are indeed rigid. 100% recommend. Caution: please be careful as it has sharp edges at ends including curve end!

I wanted it for a luggage/cargo cover-up in the back of my pick up truck. It looks like it’s gonna work out just fine. It’s stiff enough to lay on top of coolers and suitcases and any other kind of equipment, I have back there. Looks like its quality made, a little thinner than the ones I’ve had in the past, but still strong enough to do what it needs to do.

Took it camping 2 nights in a light rain. I did spray it with waterproofing before I went, but held up. At the end of the 2nd night water was barely seeping through, which was a huge win IMO, on a $30 tent. Definitely hit above the door before unzipping, water can’t help but come in on that slant. The frame held inside the long sleeves really made it feel solid. Easy to set up, I think it’s really light, and if you pay attention unfolding it, it’s actually very easy to fold back up and get into the bag. The two guys I was camping with wasn’t able to achieve that, so I see it as a huge plus. All in all, I am sure you can pay more for a lot of bells and whistles, but if you just need a camping tent, this one’s for you. Also, I am 6’6” so I slept corner to corner, but it personally wasn’t a issue, and still had plenty of room for my bags in my tent.

I purchased for the beach and it was difficult to set up due to the sand. When it comes time to press button to extend the legs all the way down, you will find that there is sand in the red mechanism. You need to shake out the sand veeerry vigorously for the button to press down into it and the legs to come out properly. Next time I will: TIE PLASTIC BAGS AROUND EACH FOOT OF THE FRAME before set up so as to not get sand in the locking mechanisms. It was hard to get each leg to lock (press on bottom of button) even after shaking sand out. Everyone had to help bat the mechanism 😭. Also: Once the outer frame is extended make sure to push the roof rods that lead to each corner UP to straighten it out and make corners protrude out of frame for the canopy. If I knew this I would’ve saved 15 minutes trying to get it to really open up. It was durable and we had light wind the whole time. The stakes still helped even though it was in sand and can move a bit. I agree with a previous review: “At least take "Beach" out of the title of this product. Seriously” —unless you provide some small canvas bags for each leg while setting up and instruct to put on. Great once it was set up. I love that the bag it comes in has little wheels although useless on the sand lol.

After reading through other reviews of similar wind tents, I narrowed it down to this brand and the Neso tents. Sure, Neso has a lot more patterns to choose from, but apparently the grommets tend to fail on them a lot. I saw that the corners of this tent were woven and thought they’d last much longer. We’ve had this one and the smaller one for several years now and we love them! I read some complaints about using this tent with higher winds. We were at the beach with wind gusts +25mph. Three poles in the front, none in the back, and the wind pushes up the middle perfectly. If you’re really creative you can extend the shade on your boat as well. Worked like a charm!

Went camping. Bought this "new" tent. Drove 4 hours, tried to set up tent, it was FILTHY!!! Muddy inside and out. Extremely used, missing the entire rain fly cover, missing poles and has a rip. I was furious and had to drive 15 miles into a random town, with no signal, hoping to return before the camp gates locked, to a target to get another tent. There was only ONE tent left on the shelf. I can't tell you how much stress this put us through! Had we relied on this we would've frozen in the night because there entire rain cover wasn't there!

First day we used the tent was a rare sunny minimal wind day at the oregon coast. Easy one person set up and worked great as a sunshade with good air flow to keep from getting too hot. The next day was much more windy. Needed two people to assemble/set up in the wind with some difficulty. Wind inverted the one side of the tent once set up making it feel half as big (but the old dog still appreciated the shelter). Wind blew sand in the windows despite having the window flaps in place. But the tent was solid otherwise and didn’t blow away. So it’s a really great fair weather sun tent. I will keep it because it folds up small and will fit in a suitcase (this would be ideal if vacationing in Hawaii with kids!!). I had no problem getting it back in the bag (when not in the wind). Just pay attention to how it’s folder when first unpacking. Updated: used a third time on a medium wind day. As I was putting it up the wind inverted one side of the tent and broke a pole. Number given on whatcampingtent.com to call for replacement parts is “google number” with no answering machine message. Would like to get a replacement pole and then only use as a sun shade when no wind (so not the oregon coast)

I Absolutely Love this beach tent! It's perfect for social distancing and privacy at the beach, and it's great protection from the sun. It's easy and fast to put up, and pretty easy to fold up; be sure to watch the instructional videos on how to fold it up before you use the tent, it's really helpful. The tent is light, and easy to carry, and comes in Its own cover. Really easy to pick up, pack up, and go. The tent has 4 pockets on each corner of the tent, for you to fill with sand to stabilize the tent. Also it comes with 4 tent stakes to help hold it down. It's a great beach accessory, and the price was pretty good for an item like this. Be sure to watch the instructional videos before using the tent, trust me it's a huge help. I would definitely highly recommend this item, and I would recommend the seller who got this item delivered to me in great condition. I'm really happy with this, I won't go to the beach without it.

The set up was super simple! All you do is assemble the (2) poles that hold the far end up with the trip wires to hold em upright. The bonnet slips over the rear end of your SUV (kinda like a hair net). I prefer to keep the hatch open so it holds the roof up high so you can stand underneath without your head touching the roof. At the bottom of the bonnet there is a ruffle attached to keep the bugs from flying under your vehicle. Be sure to hook behind your mud flap to help hold in place. We also used two spare cords to attach the top of the bonnet to our roof rack in case winds pick up. ** So the only flaw is where we attached the bonnet it wraps around under your car on your muffler/exhaust...I'd recommended waiting till it cools and don't run your vehicle while the tent is attached to your car other wise you might melt it. ***We used a propane fire pit, I highly recommend (don't use a wood fire under this canopy) *Another thing I recommend is to attach the side of the bug net to the ground and stretch it out on the sides as far as the middle zipper will let it. This is a safety precaution if you have a propane fire in it. We had a gust of win blow thru while we were distracted and almost melted it in the fire pit. Over all I recommend this tent/canopy if you are SUV camping or just a river day to keep the bugs off you and seek shade with the family. You can fit 4 people with chairs around the fire pit.

We are a family of tall people; my hubby is a tad over 6'5". He was so impressed he could stand upright within the entire room with a lot of clearance over his head and only had to duck his head slightly to enter/exit (see pics). I set the unit up by myself. It went up quickly and probably would have been easier with two, but it was very doable by one person. I also took it down by myself, which took less than 5 minutes, including folding the supports. The video screen doubles as a sun shade and a privacy screen. The inside is very roomy. I moved in one of our outdoor rocking chairs for reference. It would have been easy to have all six of them in there and a table in the center as well. I like the magnetic doors but did find most of the time I had to pull them towards each other to get them to mesh; as soon as one clicked, the rest followed on their own. There were a few gaps under the doors at the base (see pic). Time will tell if this creates a bug entry place. When completely anchored down, the unit seemed very stable in the breeze. Put it up over an old camper pad, which made it nice for keeping it clean. Over all, thought this was well designed and had good construction. We look forward to spending many spring and summer days in this over the coming years.

KingCamp is known for it's quality products. They out did themselves with this shower/privacy tent. It has all the features you want at an affordable price. I have owned many privacy tents over the past 20 years but this tops all of them. It's just as easy to set up as those pop up tents and even easier to take down. No struggling with those spring loaded wires that smack you in the face when trying to fold them up. This has twice the room as those as well. I especially like all the pockets for storage. There is even a storage pocket above the window that completely opens up to the outside. There is a water proof pocket inside for your phone and others to store shampoo and other toiletries. There is even one for a roll of toilet paper. Each zipper on this tent includes plastic coated easy grab zippered handles. The legs have anchor points for stakes. The sides of the tent have guy line anchor points. I did not show a picture of the removable rainfly but it also has the same silver coating for added insulation and privacy. I especially like the pass through opening for the shower head and the plastic clips and velcro in the corner to secure it. The floor is removable as well but I'd rather keep it zipped up to keep the critters and bugs out. They thought of everything! Update: I found tiny pin holes in the material after using it the first time. I am returning it and purchasing a second to see if this one was defective. I purchased 2 year Asurion Protection Outdoor Furniture Plan to cover the second one just in case something like this shows up again.

I’ve used this tarp for almost two months now, high altitude Jeep camping in the northern Rockies. I rig the tarp off my Jeep luggage rack with 550 cord, along with a couple of telescoping tarp poles, instead of using an expensive awning,.It’s been great for both daytime sun shade and mountain thunderstorm protection. Tarp has held up well even during heavy hail storms. Realtree type leaf pattern camouflage. Far thicker and stronger than normal tarps. Grommets are solid, hole size just right for tarp poles.

Product as described! Comes with foot print, the rain fly covers the entire tent all the way to the ground, all parts are attachable and it's wonderfully light weight. My German Shepherds like it too. Pictures inside for lighting but it was a dream to sleep in.

The tent looks fine for the beach. I like that you can open both zippered doors. I don't like that the sizing is so inaccurate. I purchased it precisely because it says it's 55 inches high. It gets only 3 stars because of it. These are the real measurements: 54 wide x 84 long x 45 high (bottom to the highest point in middle of tent). It weights over 4lbs, double what it says in the description. Really?
