I used 4 of them for 2 weeks on Halloween decorations. The wind broke my 12' reaper but the stakes held up great. My complaint is that when removing them, 1 of the fins broke the welds and isn't even attached anymore. These aren't cheap stakes, so I expected better quality. This will prevent me from buying another set like I wanted. I would give 5 stars but if they break that easy, then it looses a couple for quality
I liked the size and weight. The price was great. Used it for a month long Appalachian trail hike with myself and 2 boys. Zipper broke within 1st to second week. Spent many nights wet in this tent as it is not waterproof at all. Once had a stream of water running thru it.
Stakes have nice thin flutes, which are plenty strong and grippy. Thin flutes have advantages of offering less resistance to ground-penetration and lighter weight. However, thin flutes at the top make inserting the into the ground challenging. By hand, thin-flutes are too sharp. By foot, thin-flutes are likewise too sharp. By rock-pounding, thin-flutes are too weak. Yet making the whole flute thicker for marginal gains at the top doesn't make sense either. Enter, brazing a 3/4" diameter aluminum blank (1gram) at the top (see photo). Not sure why Sea-to-Summit can't do this or better? Better would be a tightly-fitted 1/8" cup topper welded, not brazed. Plastic rebar end-caps also function, but weigh a lot more and aren't as durable. Brazing/Welding solves all three use-cases (hand, foot, rock). Was a bit of work to add the toppers, but these stakes are now way better than MSR's (MSR heads break-off, the flutes require more force for ground-penetration and the stubbier flutes don't hold as well).
I'm 5'2 (though I would debate 5'3 😮💨) so no complaints from me about head room or space at all! it was simple to set up, didn't take me long at all. Of course it would have been an easier set up if I had done it outside. There is one storage pouch on the inside and lamp hook. It's really light weight and should be easy to attach to my pack! As soon I work up thr nerve for a solo trip, this will definitely be coming with me! (4 ⭐️'s because I haven't actually camped in it)
I really liked the Elegear Beach Tent 360°! It is easy to set up, sturdy, and provides excellent sun protection. Thanks to its circular ventilation, it remains comfortable even in the heat. An ideal choice for the beach or a picnic!
We used this tent in 4-day camping trip with a walk of 10-miles to campground. This tent was so easy to set up. I do recommend practicing closing it as it can be tricky. Is lightweight, but unfortunately it cannot be put inside a backpack. My husband ended up hanging it from outside his backpack for the hike. The quality is amazing and has enough space for four people. We were able to put all our stuff inside without loosing comfortability. It fits a queen size mattress and has room for other things. It has 2 windows and two entrances, perfect for two to have their side of the tent. We were in an environment the temperature dropped to 30°F and there was no condensation sipping through. The only thing I would’ve love is more hanging loops inside or pockets and a tent tarp included. *the big circle in the photo is the tent closed*
So I did the smart thing and read the instructions before trying to put the shade up. It was fairly easy to do by myself and I found myself making some 'adjustments' to the shade to keep it standing correctly. I needed to fit the two top pieces together and doing so made the shade a bit more stable. When collapsing the shade just remember the joints pull apart then fold, it is really simple otherwise you might break the leg at the support point then the shade will be not so sturdy. The floor is a bit thin, I think I'll have to get a furniture pad and use it to give it a bit more protection. The window flaps work well and I spent some time in the shade and without a breez, the shade was pretty hot. I didn't have the shade flaps folded down completely and it may have contributed to the heat. I also live in Arizona and it was close to 100 degrees when I put it up. It took a couple of seconds to figure out how to roll up the shade and get it back in the bag but all went smoothly and it fit back in the bad with no problems. You'll be lucky to get two people and a couple of chairs in this. I have a small camp stool in the shade and sitting in it my head is almost touching the front edge. I'm 5'9" and my boys are about the same size as me. It does have some limitations size wise but there will be plenty of storage area behind a couple of camp chairs to make for an enjoyable day trip outing. You could get several people inside the shade if they didn't have furniture or coolers. Pretty good for two people.
This Double X Pod Only Fit one person not to like the info said that
Perfect size and amazing quality! Bought over night for a beach trip and we really loved it. Super comfy and great for a sunny day.
we have used it twice now it has been nice easy to set up I'm not a huge fan of the pole in the middle. my other teepee the pole is on the sides more room. the stove is great but saddly can't keep it warm through the night. we did use the propaign heater last night and that helped alot.
I gave this four stars, for a few reasons, one being that it came with a hole in it. Nothing that can’t be stitched, but I didn’t intend on having to do that. Second, I grew up going to the beach on weekends and know how breezy and windy it can get there, and believe me; there’s a difference. Well, I figured this would be a great opportunity to throw some shade on a yard sale I was having, because the day prior, I got sunburned even with it being overcast. Ouch. Well, I knew we were going to have wind gusts that ranged between 8mph winds to 23mph winds… the latter coming In the evening. First, the set up (I was by myself) was a bit tricky. But, Once I figured out where in the yard it was getting placed, I put the grass pegs in the ground and hammered them down. The rods came together easily, and the bands go on top of the fabric and cinches just below the ball of each pole, but one. This is another reason I gave it 4 stars; as it could’ve come with a fifth band to cinch the middle pole. Each time a gust of wind came through, it lifted the fabric off the center pole and it fell. So, I ended up hammering the poles further into the ground too and that seemed to do the trick (also taking the rubber bands and cinching the center pole to the fabric). After some adjusting, I found that the further the “wings” or “legs” of the fabric are apart, the better. When it got to be a bit too gusty, I just took it down which was seconds compared to getting it up. Cool! Overall, I like it. It is going to be perfect for camping, and if I should find myself near a beach again, it will certainly go with me!
I haven't tent camped in years.... years. Got a Jeep back in August and wanted to go camping with friends so ended up purchasing this Napier tent since it had the option to connect to the back of a vehicle if needed. I was amazed at how quickly and easily this tent goes up. We tested it out in our back yard a couple of times over the course of several days to make sure everything was good before we went out on our trip. Our first camping trip with this tent, we weren't close enough to be able to use the attachment feature, but used it as a normal tent. This thing is literally a "tent-mahal." I want to be comfortable when I camp. I'm too old to sleep on the ground. I purchased a queen size air mattress and it fits great inside the main portion of the tent with room left over for side tables if needed. The clearance inside this tent is pretty tall. I'm 5ft 9 and to attach the "gear loft" at the peak of the tent, I have to stand on my tip toes to connect the hooks to the loops. Both times the tent has been used, we didn't fully attach the guy lines as they are intended. It was dry and no heavy wind/rains. The 2nd time I used the tent, I went to an SCA event. I managed to set the tent up all by myself with the exception of the rain-fly. I needed help getting it up and over since I had already raised the roof before putting the rain fly on. The only thing I don't like is that the screened in porch doesn't have a bottom. No huge big deal, but be sure to pack another tarp to put down if you plan on using an outdoor rug/mat as if the ground is wet, it will seep through. The tent is a bit heavy, but that's to be expected. The tent, with the poles etc, all packed into the carrier/bag it came in easily weighs 60 pounds. Can't wait to use this tent again in the Spring!
This privacy curtain is way sturdier than expected. We are working on a portable shower for our sprinter van and this happened to be the exact height from floor to ceiling. The interior of the cloth is rubberized and waterproof which is awesome. We thought we would need a secondary curtain to keep splashes contained, but all we need now is a shower pan. The velcro loops aren't the greatest way to hold the curtain up as they seem like they will tear off eventually, but there a thick loops up top as well that you could connect carabiners or some other mechanism to to hold this up. If you have a way to support this privacy curtain than it is highly recommended.
I ordered these for my daughter's 8th birthday party. They were easy to set up and SO cute. The kids absolutely loved them. My kids made me leave a couple up for them to sleep and play in. The criss-crossing wooden pieces were a little tough to put together, like they didn't align exactly. But we made it happen and they looked really nice when they were together.
This tent is the perfect option if you might split time between car camping and backpacking. It actually could fit 4 people with the bent-pole/vertical wall feature creating more usable space. It is perfect for a couple if you want more space. When car camping, we use two inflatable twin mattresses pushed to the outside walls with a 1.5” Kelty sleeping pad between them down the aisle so our knees have some cushion when crawling in and out of bed. There is still plenty of space for travel bags or packs. I think it is still light enough for backpacking and you have so much space to work with. Setup is a breeze with the pole sleeves, pole clips, and color coding. It really only takes about 5 minutes to set up. There are multiple loops in the ceiling for clipping lights and gadgets and multiple pockets for keys and phones. Ventilation is good and the zippers on the rain fly and tent are both two-way for easy adjustment. You can’t go wrong with this Kelty tent.
