Got this in 2 nights ago. Got it out to practice putting up our new tent and noticed a hole. Looks like the factory even marked it.
This fit 3 people comfortably as well as all of our belongings. The instructions weren't very helpful so we looked at the picture and figured it that way. Only complaint was we couldn't figure how to secure the extra shade onto the poles so we had to improvise. Otherwise the wind would easily blow it away.
Set up was quick and it stood its ground during an extremely wind night with costal air!
We got this tent after weeks of research both online and with friends, the brand is not that famous but these guys know what they are doing, that is for sure. Our idea was to get the Arizona 9/10 but then this smaller one showed up and it was just the right size we need with all the perks of the bigger one. For starters this is a very big tent and it is still easy to put up, the color coded poles make it so easy, of course we had seen some of the online videos so that gave us a better idea. Our campsite was in South Florida and we go hit by rain most of the 2 nights, can’t lie, when it started pouring and blowing I began checking on booking.com for a hotel, I didn’t believe the tent would hold up, we are not experienced campers and thought tents just leaked…but for our surprise our NTK held up like a warrior and we all slept nice and dry all night long. We have to thank NTK people for making such a reliable tent and we do recommend to all other families out there looking for a tent. Also a big thank you to our friends that told us to get this tent. In the morning we could see how bad the rain was, over 10 families were packing and leaving, I guess most of them will buy an NTK tent soon! They were impressed that our Arizona was standing proud and tall. During the day we opened the windows and rolled the doors wide open and could have a nice power nap after lunch, nice breeze goes through the mosquito net (there are plenty) and none of the tropical insects came in. When leaving we had to put our tent down and that was another challenge for us, luckily the carry bag was bigger than needed, we rolled the tent right into it with no squeezing, pushing, kicking…just a quick zip and our tent was in the trunk and ready for the next family adventure! We are not used to write reviews but considering the importance of a tent, we think it is a way to help other families that are starting in the outdoor world like us. Will try to paste some photos later on.
Used this over the eclipse weekend. Went camping set it up has tons of loops to tie up to, well stitched as well first time I had this type of tarp. But it was a good price I believe i got it with a discount so that's was great. 🙂 I'll continue to test it untill it falls apart lol I got it because they pronosticated a heavy thunderstorm for the day of eclipse luckily we were gone before the water but I feel confident it would have kept me dry. Not the best way to set them but there was tons of poison ivy everywhere so I opted for not climbing the trees to much. Saw a guy that had an amazing set up with a 20x20 so I'll look to see if this company offers something like that as well
After a recent camping trip where I had trouble removing my stakes, I decided it was time to get a new set that I could use with a drill. This set seems heavy duty and I'll be using them for my next camping trip. The hooks on the stakes do not seem like they will break with force, like my other ones have. Bonus is that they are glow in the dark so that they can be seen at night. I plan to also use some glow in the dark strings on my guy lines as well. The bit is included as well as a pull tool, so hopefully there will be no more issues removing stakes. One note is that the zipper was not properly sewn. I really hope that the zipper pull does not come off the end, or that the zipper itself doesn't tear away from the bag. The bag seems to be of good quality otherwise. Also, there is some room in the bag in case you need to add some extra tools.
I live in the Pacific Northwest and am an experienced camper and backpacker. My wife and I wanted a larger tent to use for occasional car camping that was simple, well-built, and spacious. The North Face Wawona 4 has turned out to be an outstanding tent for this purpose. Setup is extremely easy and takes under 5 minutes. There are only three poles, and they are color coded for easy setup. The trick is to get both of the main poles fully through the sleeves while the tent is flat **before** inserting the ends of the poles into the corner grommets of the tent. Just get both poles through the sleeves to form an "X" over the flat tent, then insert pole ends into the grommets. The third pole for the large screen door goes in last, and arcs over the two main poles. The rain fly is also super simple to install, and the attachment points are color coded to correspond with where they go on the tent. As for the experience of using the tent, I love it. With walls that are fairly vertical (compared to other tents), the interior is very spacious. I'm 5'11" and can easily stand fully upright in the middle of the tent and not hit my head. This makes changing clothes so, so nice. There are plenty of wall pockets for stowing your items, and lots of loop hooks for hanging lights, etc. We just got back from a weekend trip where it rained both nights, and not a single drop of water got in the tent. With two people inside, there is so much space that it feels like you're in a palace. Three people would still be very comfortable. Four people is easily doable but there will be less room to spread out. On the whole, if you want a 4-person tent that is dead-simple to put up and take down and keeps you dry, the North Face Wawona 4 is an outstanding choice. It exceeded my expectations and now I want to go car camping more.
Used mine to help support a heavy gate door and has been holding up great for over a month now.. comes with a nice steel cable too
Bought this tent and foot print a while back. Sets up easy, fairly light weight considering the size and that the poles are fiber glass. Nice and roomy. The flooring rips easily. I have gone camping 6 time in it and have noticed it condensed considerably in temps below 50. Its more of a summer tent than a 3 season. It’s dry in light rain. Good for car camping. Not bad for the price. Wish the floor was stronger so it gets 3 stars.
This tent is SO easy to put up and take down. Honestly I'm not entirely sure why people are confused. There aren't instructions, but literally it's just this: To put up the tent, spread the legs all the way out in their respective corners. Lift the middle peice and before you get all the way up, pull the star in the middle peice down so it clicks/locks. Make sure the legs on the 4 corners halfway down have also clicked into place. To take down, push down and pull up on the middle peice so that it clicks/unlocks. Then you bring it back to starting position. The easiest set up I've ever had and can absolutely be done with one person. That said, the material for the tent is really thin. It did fine in light rain (though I do recommend getting a tarp or cover for the top) but I wouldn't trust it in super windy or really strong rain. It's perfect for just an easy going weekend with decent weather.
The tarp is great and all accesories that come with it are great. Have used it and have nothing bad to say about it. I am only mildly upset that the listing says it's weight is 1.69 pounds, now I don't know what they are weighting if only the tarp fabric or what, but the whole thing in the package weights as you can see in the picture: 2.8 pounds, so there you go, take that into consideration.
I like the tent. Price is good. Overall quality is “ok”. I’ve had many Kelty items in the past and frankly was expecting a little bit better. Very easy setup, had my friends jealous of how quickly I was finished. However, the tent material feels thin and cheap, stitching is not straight, and for the life of me I can’t get the rain fly tight enough so that it doesn’t sag and touch the mesh of the tent. Overall it’s a good budget tent but I doubt it lasts more than a few camping seasons. FWIW: I am a scout leader and camp 10-12 times per year, roughly half of these trips are backpacking. I’ve been buying camping gear for over 30 years and have an assortment from various manufacturers.
I’ve seen these all over the place and hesitated to buy one because they are so expensive BUT Everyone I had talked to said they really liked theirs and it was super sturdy and so I pulled the trigger. I watched other people at the softball tournament pop up their weatherpod brand pod and none of them had the problem of it collapsing on itself like mine was AND then my zippers stopped working easily and one separated completely. I tethered using the strings that came in the bag and while I was in the bathroom the seem ripped because it couldn’t withstand the wind. If it wouldn’t have been collapsing on me, then I would not have had to have tethered it to the fence using both anchors on the front. One anchor was sturdy and the other fragile leading to the tear on one side and not the other.
Cheap, cheap, cheap plastic. Used 1 time and most were bent/broken after being hammered in 1 time. 1 shattered. Don't waste your money.
This product is amazing! The solar bag, It held up, and kept all the water in. No leakage! Made it easy to wash my dishes and even for a quick cool off. It has a pocket for a sponge and soap. The privacy tent is such an amazing bonus. Very convenient for changing or camping toilet! Very easy to set up and take down once you get the hand of it! Overall this is an great buy, it even comes a thank you card! Very thoughtful seller! I recommend any one who camping a lot![Heart]
