This is way better than pole tents and even instant tents and the size of this was great especially when we had a few rainy days on our trip definitely love and I even bought a smaller one for just me and the wife
We really like the size of this tent. For two adults and two 50-60 lb dogs, we all had plenty of space with room to spare. The best part about the tent to me is the set up and tear down. This company could not have made it more simple. No poles to put together or slide thru loops. It’s amazing. Love all the windows for good air flow and being able to see the stars in summer camping without the tarp on top. We’re really happy with this tent and hope it lasts a long time.
I was easily able to to use the hex wrench that comes with this to sink the anchors into the ground and then put the anchor tops through the premade holes in a solar lamppost we have and tighten it down. The post has 3 holes, but the anchors are so secure I only needed to use 2 of them. The orange is bright and super noticeable, which will be perfect to keep us from stubbing our toes on the ones leftover that I intend to use to provide extra anchoring for our pop up canopy. I'll mulch over the lamppost ones since we don't need to see them from 5000 feet away.
This item is really hard to re-pack. The directions that come with the product are totally useless, as was the "customer support". Notice how they ask for "feedback", but provide no contact information. Do they really want to talk to you? The good news is after researching, we figured it out. My wife was able to unpack, open, setup and repack the item in under a minute. I recorded the section of the video we found online......it's all you need to know, and you can fold this thing up within 10 seconds..... as seen in the video. The tent is nice and roomy, reason we bought it over others. So glad we don't have to return it for a smaller tent now.
From Skagway Alaska to Zion National Park, this tent has been our home for the past 2 months, and I have zero complaints! Easy setup, easy breakdown. Best expirience was getting caught in a massive rainstorm in Zion. We were in a low-spot and the ground flooded, 4 inches of water on all sides. The underside of the tent was a complete waterbed, but it never leaked once! All the seems held, not a DROP made it inside. We were blown away by how well it heals up. Tips and tricks that I’ve learned regarding this tent: - ALWAYS connect the velcro loops between the rainfly and the polls. Otherwise a small pool of water can form just above the rainfly door and it will drain on your face when you exit the tent. - Buy the Marmot ‘footprint’ tarp designed for the underside of this tent specifically. This is just a good rule to prolong the lifespan of any tent. - There are four vents that can be opened on the rainfly. You should always do this, otherwise condnensatiin can buildup on the inside mesh of tent. - The rainfly has two doors. One side has two vertical zippers, and the other end has one sipper that makes an ark to the other side. The one zipper side looks better, but it has substantially less sealant material on inside and starts to weather with daily use. The vertical zippers have almost x3 the sealant. All that being said, I absolutely love this tent and will recommend it to anyone and everyone.
Two important qualities of any tent that you're using on a hiking trip is how compact / light it is for carrying and how quickly & easily it comes up and folds back down. This tent gets high marks on both. Without looking at instructions and on first attempt, it took me just over 7 minutes to put up. (The photo shown is without the extra outside layer but it did come with that piece and guessing that would go up in just a minute or two at most.) It might be a snug fit for two full sized adults, especially if you have bags inside. But is more than enough room for a single adult plus gear. It has adequate egress on both sides and good ventilation. It's hard for me to speak to durability except that the tent material, clips, poles and stakes all seem decent quality and would expect this to last many years with proper care. Very good tent for the money!
Took this tent camping for the first time last weekend. It came with a great carry case and all needed hardware. The tent’s setup instructions, which are located inside the carry case, are very easy to follow. It took us about 10 minutes to have it anchored and completely set up. We did get some rain on the first night and the tent remained dry on the inside. The second night we had high winds and a drastic temperature drop. Again, the tent help up great and kept us relatively warm, even though we hadn’t really brought cold weather gear. I’m very pleased with how roomy the tent is on the inside, with the rain cover keeping us dry, and the flooring staying put with the rain. I also appreciated the mesh holder which attaches at the highest part of the tent’s dome. I was able to keep items I didn’t want my dog to get into while we slept. The small mesh pockets by the window and door also came in handy for easy access without having to enter the tent and for placing my glasses and phone when going to sleep. The only inconvenience was the flap on the door when trying to open it in one motion. It would force you to stop halfway down and adjust your hand before you could continue all the way around. This became a bit of a nuisance when trying yo hold my strong dog with my left hand while opening the door with my right hand. Luckily she never tried to pull away at that moment. All and all the tent is great and I hope to get a lot of use out of it.
At first, I was skeptical of purchasing such a large roof tent, but this roof tent is awesome! It is about the width of a king size bed, and even longer than a king size bed. There was ample room for my husband, daughter and me. We were even able to store items, like clothing, at our feet without the tent feeling cramped. Although the roof tent is large, it’s easy to set up. It takes about 5-8 minutes for my husband to set up the tent, and about the same amount of time to break it down. When we went camping, we took advantage of the zippered flaps, and opened them to view the night sky. I highly recommend this roof tent, especially if you are camping with your family.
These lightweight chairs are a good basic chair for my 185 lb. 5’ 11” frame, but if I was over 200 lbs., I would want/need a heavier chair, as they are not considered heavy-duty. I would imagine that I am toward the high-end weight and height factor for comfortability. Comes with slip covers with skinny drawstrings. The umbrella is a neat idea and does offer shade from the sun but the adjustable pole is good in light winds only. A couple of times it was not strong enough to withstand our average+ Texas winds at home. At the beach, the strong winds off the shore were just too much to keep the pole stablized. The umbrella poles were moving with the wind gusts and needed continual adjustments (we live in an often windy area of Texas). These umbrellas would work better if the manufacturer just used a solid pole without the spring adjuster on the bottom of the pole; it compromises the movement too much in average+ to strong winds or gusts. Then, the user could move the chair to suit their protection from the sun. For a still, non-windy to light wind day, this set is nice to take to a picnic or game or BBQ due to their lightweight, low profile, and the umbrella would be good to keep the sun off the face in light breeze to no wind conditions. We will use these chairs often but opt to other chairs onavzrage+ windy days. 3/5 stars. Good basic useable chairs with umbrellas to be used in no to light winds. But, the listing markets as beach chairs but the two times we took them to the beach the umbrellas were pulled down with the wind and the winds at that beach were average on that day.
Apr. 2022 Update: My father (~200lbs, 6'1") and I (6', ~180lbs) used this as a base camp this past fall when elk hunting in Montana. We had light precipitation once or twice and it held up fine. We did have some gusty winds a couples of days that tried to push this around, but I had it staked down well and had no issues. it left the two of us plenty of extra elbow room for a little bit of extra gear in the tent without us knocking shoulders. It's a little cool at night (any tent is), but you can stake the rainfly down pretty close to the ground to minimize the wind without a whole lot of effort. Anywho, it held up well and is still bigger than I'd prefer for backpacking-- but for sharing a tent near the truck, it worked perfectly. --------------------- The packed size and overall weight (basically 6 lbs 14 oz) are larger and heavier than I would like. That's the only reason this isn't coming in at 5 stars from me. I bought this and a 2 person tent for a trip this fall and will update once I put it through some real world usage. Past that, it is easy to set up, huge for 2 people, can actually fit 3 people, well built, and over 4' tall inside at the peak. This has two side doors with decently sized vestibules, making entry and exit pretty easy. This is a good sized, well made tent and is not coming from some no-name Asian manufacturer. This is possible (though slightly annoying) to set up with one person, but a breeze with 2. Sure, look at the directions the first time, but after that, you'll see that this is easy to put together and everything important is color coded, so you don't need to read them again. Hooks with the gold straps hook to the gold poles. Green straps to the green pole. The rainfly corners with gold straps match the same color straps on the tent corners-- same with the green rainfly straps. If you don't want to use the rainfly, the upper portion of this tent is about 1/2 mesh (the really fine mesh that keeps out the smallest of pests). Inside this is 50" at the peak (without the little mesh shelf-- which is handy for drying damp clothes) and it plenty of room for 2 adults, their packs, and a dog or two. Sitting up (playing cards in the rain), you can fit in 4-5 adults. Lying down, you can fit 3 full sized adults, with some room at the foot for gear, but you will be bumping shoulders if you're broadly built. The floor is waterproof, seam sealed, and has reinforced corners. The floor wraps into a tub to help keep out water and is probably about 6" in height (I forgot to measure). This does not come with a separate ground sheet and that may be something you want to consider for durability with regards to sharp rocks/sticks, etc. Outside, the two side doors each have a decent sized vestibule and the rainfly has peak vents that pop open with a little built in spacer. Do keep in mind that you can't reach this from inside, so you'll have to prop this open before zipping up for the night. All of the rope tie downs are cord with reflective material, which should make it slightly harder to trip over in the dark and slightly easier to find at night if you're returning to the tent late. The pack does include a note about seam sealing, but as near as I can tell, everything is already sealed and good to go. I imagine this is for touch ups or repairs down the road, but I wish they were a bit more clear. If you are truly using this for 3 adults, it will be a hair snug, but the weight can be divided somewhat evenly to about 2-3 lbs per person. For two adults, this tent is overkill in my opinion-- but it does allow for extra room if you have any kids or four legged companions with you. Overall, my only complaints are size, weight (both of those due to the overall size of the tent more than anything, they did not include any needlessly heavy components), the included stakes seem pretty plain-Jane/cheap, and the lack of a separate ground sheet (a few bucks to buy one or make one out of Tyvek). So, really, nothing serious. Overall, this is a well built 3-season tent that I expect to work well for many adventures.
This tent was a game changer for our days at the beach! So easy to set up, great quality and looks cool too! I admired people that had one, and now that I decided to buy one, now people come up to us asking where i got it! I highly recommend!
Purchased this bathroom tent for music festival season for privacy and the obvious. Took a chance as this item had no reviews but a price I couldn’t turn down. Took a while to get to me. It is very light weight and was simple for just me to erect. As you can see. I am 5”6 and stand just as tall as the doorway with tons of head room to spare. It will need to be staked down as it’s a bit flimsy. Much larger than I was expected. Not sure how long it will make it. But I plan to take care of it so let’s hope many music Festivals to come! Great for a cheap easy potty or shower as the flooring is removable!
I was looking for a reasonably priced tent where I could stand fully upright (I'm 5 ft 8 in tall). The price (44% off) and center height (6 ft) of this tent appeared to fit the bill. I wasn't excited about the color and camo pattern but I purchased it anyway (I did not opt for the discounted "used" purchase option." To become familiar with the tent set up, I tried setting it up at home before taking it on a camping trip. It's a good thing I did. One of the plastic buckles was in pieces and one of the elastic cords connecting the pole segments was completely cut resulting in a detached pole segment. Where was the quality control before this was shipped out? I still liked the price and height of the tent and requested an exchange. The replacement tent was already on its way before I dropped off the return at the UPS store. As soon as the replacement arrived I could tell from the packaging and tape job that I was probably sent someone else's return. Sure enough, as soon as I opened the box there were pieces of another broken piece of plastic, this time one of the small hooks that attaches the tent to one of the poles. Again, where was the quality control? Everything else was intact so I proceeded with putting up the tent and everything else was fine. I replaced the broken plastic hook with a medium sized carabiner clip and the tent attached to the pole perfectly. I debated sending the second tent back but was worried the third tent would be damaged even worse. Because the carabiner worked I decided to keep the tent. If you purchase, just be aware you might be getting damaged goods. Pros Good price if on sale Center height high enough to fully stand up Spacious footprint Relatively easy set up process but still more than the 5 minutes as advertised Cons Quality concerns Door flap frequently snags in zipper
Bought this tarp for camping and it ripped the first time using. Of course it was just pass the 30 day return date. Do not recommend this product
My family lives by the beach and go quite frequently. I needed something I could set up easily by myseld when I take the kids by myself. This was exactly what I was looking for. I can set it up and take it down in less than 2 minutes total! Our last beach tent had strings that needed to be pulled in order to pop open the tent. I have very little strength in one arm. After a few uses, I couldn’t set the tent up on my own. This one just pops right up. Super easy! 🙌🏽 The instructions are attached to the bag. (Picture) TO SET UP: Unfold the legs then lift up on the center until its eye level then push down on the bottom center poles until it clicks. (Video) TO TEAR DOWN: Push the bottom center poles up to meet the top poles. Lower the center down while keeping it upright. Fold in each leg. Wrap the tarp around. Then put the strap on and put it back in the bag. (Video) It’s pretty lightweight and easy to stow. It comes in a carry bag with a strap. (Picture) Fits perfectly in our beach cart. I love that it has stakes, ties, and places to weigh it down with sand. The windows let a nice breeze through to keep it cool. Fabric seems like it’ll hold up to the hot FL sun. It’s nice and big. We could easily fit 4-5 of us in there. (Picture) We haven’t used it at the beach yet, but plan to within the next week!
