We took it out for 3 days, lows were 16 degrees F and highs in the mid 20s. Worked well but the zipper broke on the fly the 2nd day we used it. Called there customer service and they offered me $15 and I had to buy a new zipper and install it. Not happy. It’s going back
My 4 year old son is excited about sleeping outside lately. My husband is ok with the idea of just "sleeping out under the stars" but I am not as enthusiastic about the idea of mosquitoes and spiders crawling around while I'm sleeping. So we needed a tent, and this is way nicer than what I was aiming for. It is spacious inside with plenty of room for the 3 of us to sleep. There are storage pockets inside and a hook on the top for a lantern. The tent was easy to put up with my husband and I working together and the instructions were simple to understand. The best part is it is quite bug proof and that makes me very happy.
I received the tent today, and set it up in the living room for a test run, before my winter camping trip this weekend. It's a good thing I did, because I will definitely not be able to use it this weekend, or at all, for the following reasons: 1. Despite being listed as a 4-season tent, and having photos of the tent being set up in the snow, the instructions inside the tent bag specifically say not to set it up if the temperature is below freezing. Now, these instructions show photos of the proper setup (it's a 2 pole done tent, it's not rocket science), but the wording of the steps is for a different style of tent altogether. If you're a tent novice, and you aren't great with pictures then you'll need to look up videos on YouTube before you try it. 2. As I spread the tent out on the floor I noticed discoloration on the whitish panels of fabric. As I continued, this discoloration covered approximately 60% of the top half of the tent. I've seen this kind of discoloration before, because 3. The tent was clearly packed up while wet, or was exposed to *a lot* of water after packing but then repackaged without anyone looking at it. I don't think it was used (the poles and zippers look new), but it smells horribly musty... enough that I needed to leave the room (and it's a big room... big enough to set up a 9'x9' tent, without moving furniture, and 4. It's not actually 9'x9'... it's every bit of 10'x10'. That might not seem like a huge difference, but since it's meant to be an SUV tent that is set up off the back of the vehicle, that means even with a small SUV (Subaru) I'm over the 25' site depth. Now the worst part (aside from having to use my old tent with the hole this weekend, and having a smelly house) is that I have to pack it all back up in order to get a refund. 1 star because I can't give less... at least it has all of the pieces. EFIT: gave a second star back because it really wasn't a bear to take down and get back into the bag & box
completely dissapointed with whatcampingtent.com (not the seller/manufacturer, as this item was purchased as "used item"). i understand that the item i chose was "used item" hence the lower price but i was expecting an item which is the same as the description. after opening, item was completely different. size : - description : 177" x 177" - actual item : 118" x 118" other concerns : - 1 cord have missing cord stopper - 2 sets of poles - 1 missing stake i dont mind the missing cord stopper and stake, or the added poles. But the difference in size is really unacceptable!!! with regards to the product itself, it is awesome! ( i have purchased 1 (118"x118") before which is why i decided to purchase another set but with a bigger size). i would highly recommend it. but i will never recommend purchasing used items from whatcampingtent.com!
I run a dance studio and sometimes for our performances, we don’t have anywhere to change. I recommended that the dancers all buy one of these so that we can pop them up behind the stage and have our own personal dressing rooms. This has worked amazing and it’s easy to carry it literally just pops open and you’re good to go, putting it down is a little tricky but once you know the technique of getting it down, it easily comes down and folds right back into the bag. The bag is lightweight to carry around a little big to carry around, but not a nuisance dancers have loved having these little window Open it up and there was a gate behind us and I stood up and it was easy to take clothes in and out rather than it lay on the floor
This tent is huge and very well made. Set up was very easy as we had 3 people helping. Bought some blow up furniture, ( couch and 2 oversized lounge seats and they all turn into beds.) Do yourself a favor and buy some battery operated fairy lights with some small clips to hang along the inside walls. With this size tent especially when cold get a little buddy heater (not the smallest, but the next size up) to take the chill off. Lastly, throw some rugs inside to make it cozy. Voila, cozy inviting space for friends to gather. We put it up on a beautiful warm day the first use and it was very cold that night and it was very wet on the outside of the tent. Try not to touch the inside walls because water seeped through as the fibers on the walls and ceiling hadn’t shrunk yet. Night 2 was much better because the tent fibers actually did what they were supposed to do after drying out the next day. Make sure your tent is super dry before rolling up and putting back in bag, and yes it will fit in the bag if you roll up tight. All in all, very happy and the butter yellow color is pleasing to the eye.
I've done a lot of camping in my life. Most of it was for work, but I've also done a fair bit of recreational camping. One thing both sorts of camping had in common was a lack of adequate showers. I can't tell you how many times I've woken up in the morning feeling pretty gross because I could only clean myself in a rudimentary fashion. Enter this amazing piece of gear. When I saw this field shower in my "recommended" feed, I knew I had to have it. I ordered it immediately, and when it came in, I opened it and checked it out. First, let me say that this is not for backpackers. It's heavy and bulky. However, for my vehicular application, it's perfect. Everything you need to set this up and simple and adequate instructions are included. If you have ever set up a simple dome tent, you can do this, too. It was easy, and I managed it by myself. Upon setup, I decided to make a few simple mods to the design. While this shower tent included a simple floor, I did things a bit differently. There is a collapsible shower base available on this site. You can find it easily. I used that instead of the included floor, which I had another use for. One thing I've noticed with showering in the field is that after you clean yourself, it's frequently the case that there isn't a good area to dry off or get clothed; therefore, I used the included shower mat as a stepping pad outside. You can make this super cushy by putting a folding chair beside it. This field shower is awesome! The fabric is heavy-duty and conceals the user nicely, as the product page states. There are generous pockets for soap or shampoo along the top, and, most importantly, a zippered and screened flap that works nicely to hold the shower head. While the included hook would work for some applications, I didn't use it. In addition, I built a simple heated and pressurized setup for this field shower using a battery-operated submersible pump, also available on this site, and a simple propane field water heater, which is also easily found. I took a picture of this setup to show how it's done. Viola! My family now has a primitive hot water shower we can take anywhere! All of this fits into my vehicle with no problems, and we no longer have issues with being clean while camping! I couldn't be happier with this unit, and I recommend it for people sick of roughing it, like me. This is great, and I'd million-star it if I could! Highly recommended.
Really easy to assemble, great size, good quality, great value for money!!
This tent is perfectly outfitted for a 3 season camper. The tent is completely mesh except for the rain fly. The reason for the 4 stars is that I am 6'5" and I can not fit in the tent when I lay down. I have to lie diagonally to fit so I can not share this tent with another person. Otherwise, it has nice ventilation hatches, 2 inside pockets for stowing gear and a hook for hanging a light. The poles are sturdy and they were easy to insert and push through the sleeves during set up.
During our recent camping trip, we used the Coleman WeatherMaster 6-Person Tent with Screen Room and were thoroughly impressed. The tent’s spacious interior comfortably accommodated our family, and the screened room provided a bug-free area to relax and enjoy meals. Setting up the tent was straightforward, even for us as first-timers. We encountered a rainy evening during our trip, but the tent’s WeatherTec system kept us completely dry, with no leaks whatsoever. The hinged front door added a touch of convenience, making entry and exit effortless. Overall, the Coleman WeatherMaster tent significantly enhanced our camping experience, and we highly recommend it to anyone seeking a reliable and comfortable shelter for their outdoor adventures.
Awesome tent! I bought the classic 140. You should buy it for one person or for couples. I've only inflated it once & had a terrible thunder storm on the first night, with hail & it's still standing strong. Also I did not have to use the rain fly. Can't wait to do more camping this year!💜💜💜
I can easily put this up by myself, although two people can do it in 5 minutes. This tent provides lot of shade for full days on the beach without burning up. Three adults can easily lie in the shade. It packs up into a small, easy to carry bag.
This Snow Peak tent stake hammer is made in Japan and looks and feels well made. The overall length is about 12”. The hammer head looks like forged steel.
This was the perfect “shade” for our rainy beach trip because it’s waterproof as well! We are not beach people so last year, on our first beach trip, we learned everyone brings sunshade.. I’m sure we looked like newbies out there with our little blanket to sit on LOL It was tough to choose, but we settled on this LetsFunny tent because it’s super light and small to pack and carry, and we liked that it has a floor. Great choice! Turns out it’s essentially a tent, like the kind you sleep in, modified for the beach. It has bags attached to fill with sand that keep it stationary in strong wind, and the poles to hold it up are very thin, light, and flexible. It was easy to set up and take down and the directions are attached to the carrying bag!! It was a great shelter from the rain for our bags and towels, and it’s perfect for little kids who need to nap out of the sun, or wind or rain.. the front of the tent and side windows can be a screen or covered to suit the weather. If you need more room for the adults, just completely unzip the front “door” and lay it on the ground like a little patio. It is perfect for us newbies, so glad we bought this instead of renting an umbrella.
It came dirty but we needed it for the trip so just used it anyways as time to return would impact ability to use it when needed already in August. But disappointing for the price to be dirty. Where it was rolled up the dirt was along one side.
