Easy to setup and two large doors with good ventilation. Two side doors make easy to access. The pop-up setup makes this tent easy to setup. Just needs small space to store. Material looks good water proof material. All I want.
This is the best quality and good price .five stars !!!
Super easy to set up. Exactly what I wanted. If you want a room in your backyard, and are weird like me, this is great.
WHY did I not get these sooner? I'm an avid decorator for Halloween and Christmas and have airblown and other light up figurines. Most of them come with rather wimpy little stakes and the stakes are easy to lose in the grass. These steaks are super sturdy, longer than the ones decorations come with and easily tap into the ground with a rubber mallet. They are very pointy on the end that goes into the ground so went into even partially frozen ground without a problem. It's so nice to not worry about things falling over or getting knocked down by the wind. I'm so glad I found these! Great price for these as well considering how many you get!
I’ve never had a tent this nice! There is so much to love about it: + Sweet Carry Bag: Awesome carry bag will keep your tent nice forever. See below about instructions sewn into the bag. + Quick Assembly: 5-10 minutes and it’s up, really! + Spacious: Not only a large footprint, but also high ceiling. I’m 6’1” tall, and I hardly need to stoop to get in/out and to walk around inside. Very nice! + Quality Materials: Everything is good—fabric, mesh windows, stakes, carry bag, zippers, tie lines. No cheap junk here. + Permanent Waterproof Instructions: The carry bag has permanent assembly instructors sewn right into it, and they are waterproof. No more losing the instructions! + Great Ventilation: Hard to appreciate this when the rain fly is over the tent, as pictured, but there are massive sections of the tent that are window-type mesh material. Even with the rain fly over the top, this allows for great ventilation. Honestly, I have zero complaints about this amazing tent. My kids loved testing it out with me in the backyard. We did an overnight. We cannot wait to do it again.
I bought this tent and only used it ONCE for a camping trip. During the trip it rained, and my tent COMPLETELY COLLAPSED and FILLED with RAIN water. I mean over 100 GALLONS of rain water was sucked out of my tent with a vacuum! All of my items in the tent got wet including my generator, clothes, grey bath towel, air mattress, sheets, blanket, and sleeping bag. Literally EVERYTHING was wet. I went to bed freezing that night! I searched for months to find the perfect tent, and I thought this was it. Little did I know that a pop up tent would be my worst mistake. The corner pole bent at one of the connections when it fell, as you can see in the picture, and the water was sitting on it. We noticed that once we lifted the tent. I was so upset I almost gave up and went home. My friends and family helped me feel better, by helping me salvage what I could and we had to sleep in the van. I thought Coleman was a good brand, but I guess not for me. Pop up tents are not the way to go. They will collapse on you while everyone else's tent around you will be standing tall. I would like a different tent, but I'm passed the return window since I bought the tent way before my camping trip. I don't know what to do. This tent is ruined and I spent hundreds only to use it once! I need a new tent! HELP.
Perfect shade for the little ones and I! Wind flows perfect in between. Easy the screw in the dirt if it’s wet. Dry grass is much harder.
We had to put this sun shelter up the first time to understand how to put it up, but now that we know how, it is easy to put up. It's basically a dome tent with huge window walls instead of solid walls like a camping tent. It is a good size, 10 feet by 10 feet. white, with poles integrated into the shelter. The poles are like those in a dome tent. They have an elastic cord running through them. I reckon one person could put it up, but it is a LOT easier with two people. Just assemble the poles (you can't go wrong) after spreading the shelter out on the grass (or whatever). There is space for lots of people standing, 6 to 8 in chairs. And it does a great job of shielding you from the sun! All mesh panels in the walls zip open easily, so there's basically 4 large doors under a big top. I like it!
Super easy to set up and take down. Large enough for queen air mattress and other gear. 2 adults and 2 dogs. We had a lot of rain and small hail. This tent performed great. We stayed dry had room to put 2 camp chairs inside as well as the portable toilet (sometimes you just have to). We also had a small Honeywell forced air heater that kept us plenty warm and no condensation due to the mesh ceiling and rain fly system. Very pleased with this tent.
We've owned this for a week and taken it out to the beach every day, and I'm ready to declare this a great, recommended purchase. POSITIVES: 1) It's really lightweight. My wife wanted to carry this and let me carry the chairs! 2) It's very easy to set up and break down. One person can set it up easily in a couple of minutes. 3) This XL size is quite big. It easily accommodates not just 2 adult beach chairs, but 2 fully upright folding chairs, plus probably a small child or two. You could stretch out and take a nap in it if you like (see photos). 4) It's shockingly stable and sturdy. We didn't have horrible winds this week (just 10-20mph max), but we never even felt the need to fill the sand pockets. The 6 basic stakes in the sand provided plenty of stability. In higher winds you can of course fill the 3 built in pockets with sand, and use the additional stakes and guy-lines to secure it, but I was pleasantly surprised that we didn't feel a need for either. 5) This design gives you a tucked-away "cabana"-like feel, like you're viewing the ocean but shielded fromthe throngs of crowds to your left and right. 6) Many nice design touches including 5 handy storage pockets, a hook for hanging things, easy-to-use roll-up screens, and the big "apron" that you can also zip up for total privacy. 7) Light, reflective colors and lots of ventilation means this isn't as hot as the other big brand. 8) It's a great value. In 2024, you can often find it in the $60-70 range. NEGATIVES: 1) Stuffing it back into it's carry sack is a two person operation. If the sack had a wider opening, it would be much easier. 2) Despite being lightweight it remains fairly big when folded down in it's carry sack -- bigger than the types of tents where you pull the support poles completely apart. 3) I don't see how you can ever fold this thing up without trapping at least a little sand. BOTTOM LINE: This isn't going to provide as much shade coverage as one of the big 10-plus foot beach canopies. If you spend a lot of time at the beach, or have a big family, then spending a couple hundred bucks on one of those might better suit your needs. But if your crowd is small, and you want something much less expensive and easier to carry and set up, and you like the idea of a little privacy along with your shade, then this pop-up design won't disappoint, and this is the brand to get.
The setup of the tent is pretty simple. We used it on our 2017 Chrysler Pacifica (PHEV). Tent didn't come with instructions to secure to car. I watched a couple videos on how to secure other tents to the car so had a good idea. The tent held up well to the winds at our beach camping spot. It’s not great quality but good value for the money. The fit wasn’t perfect but good enough. Using this tent for a couple more trips to see if we really want to get into car camping. Tip- I would clean the back of the car and bumper before using next time. The life gate was dirty and left marks on the tent. The kids would sit on the bumper to move form van to tent so I had to wipe it with a baby wipe. We also paid $130 after taxes after applying a $35 coupon. 5/2024
So pleased with this purchase! Let me start with what I was looking for and hoped to find in my tent: * one person * three season * mostly mesh inner tent to allow stargazing * lightweight for backpacking This tent met those criteria, and has performed perfectly on a number of excursions. My very first outing (shown in the two pictures) was over three days when it rained about 70% of the time. Me and my gear stayed perfectly dry the entire time. Note that I did purchase the matching footprint, and I would strongly suggest that anyone buying this tent do the same. There is a small pocket up front that I use to hold my powerbrick, phone and headlamp. Two sets of ties at the top allow you to hang a lantern if you wish, but I think you'll find yourself smacking your head on it unless it's a very small unit. Setup is always very quick -- the shock-corded poles go together smoothly and if you treat them well should last indefinitely. The price is one half to one third of what other one person tents go for, and it delivers equivalent functionality and quality. I would highly recommend this tent to any friend who was in the market for something meeting these specifications.
Here are a couple of quick details about me and what I was looking for with this tent. This is my third tent purchase. (see other reviews on whatcampingtent.com). I am tall at 6'5" and needed a tent that was long enough for me and had plenty of space for my gear or big enough for myself and my 8yr old...or the dog if he is up to going on a trip. For most, this tent has the room for two adults. The tent needed to be light enough for hiking. For most people, this tent is too heavy for hiking, but I can handle a little weight so it's not a problem. If trekking out with a partner, split the weight and you will be fine. For car camping or motorsport camping, the size should be great. I needed a tent with a bath tub bottom and a full rain fly. The Hooligan floor is the same material found in the Sundome line. It's thick, moves up the side by several inches, and is waterproof. It generates the most weight, but it worth the protection from the elements. Plus it has a decent sized vestibule area for boots or packs. The fly is totally taped, but I decided to waterproof it anyway with additional seam seal and proofing spray. I needed a design that could be setup when on my own. The base stakes down with 4 stakes. The single pole is SOLID. It is at least twice the diameter of the Sundome poles and is designed for strength. Inserting the pole into the pegs may be difficult when the 4 main stakes are not positioned correctly. 2 more stakes to support the pole and you're done in good weather. The rain fly provides even more support. If it's cold or windy, you will definitely want to pack and use the fly. Still, on my own, I setup this tent in less than 10 minutes with the fly on within 5 minutes. I have wanted this tent for months. When the price dropped to $33, I jumped on it. This is a great tent and worth considerably more than the current price tag. Window and door venting works well. The full fly is awesome. The tub bottom is great. A couple notes: there is a single pouch on the inside for out of the way storage, but there is not a loop to hang a lantern. I used the zipper loops and it was ok, but I plan on sewing my own loop on at the tent apex before my next outing. 5 stars all around. I will likely buy a second tent to have as a spare or for others to use.
I got this for a solo beach trip and it was absolutely perfect! I forgot to time the setup, but it was worth whatever time it took me to do. I read the instructions at home and implementation was seemlesss. Follow the instructions. The location of the shade changed throughout the day, but was always there and the last few hours was full shade. Worth the investment. Very sturdy. I sat my chair in the sun so I could warm up from the shade as needed 🤯😃
I have used this tent on two over night hiking trips. I am 6’ tall and 300lbs and fit in this tent just fine. Pack and boots fit in the vestibule. I stayed dry in heavy rain on the first trip and warm in temps below 30°F on the second. Set up and break down are quick and easy. Well worth the money.
