Purchased this for my daughters softball games and this was the most reasonably priced one I could find. It arrived today and I have not yet used it for a game but set it up and really like it. Two sides zip open and have ties if you want to hold one up. Another review complains that the door isn’t clear and you can’t see thru it but there is one clear side so just point that toward the field…..it feels warm in it, or at least warmer than sitting in sleet like we did last week. Plenty of room for a chair. It also folded up very easily. I’m glad I purchased one for me and for my other daughter. I think this will work well in the event we have a game in bad weather. UPDATE: as I sit here in the rain and all the parents around me are asking where I got this, I think it’s one of the best things I’ve ever bought on whatcampingtent.com. I’m warm and dry.

This thing is great!! I got it to use in my backyard actually. I live in a hot sunny place and I don't have much shade. But it's also very windy up on a hill so I have trouble finding umbrellas and things to provide shade. I got this pop-up tent to house a swimming pool for my 3 year old. It suits my needs perfectly and exceeds my expectations when it comes to sturdiness and simplicity. It was so easy to set up. It can be folded down tiny for transport. Opening it up is simple and fast. In seconds I had the whole thing up. It's standing up to the wind of my yard beautifully, absolutely no sign of damage or wear and tear so far. I'm very impressed. This is a sturdy and worthwhile item to add to my camping gear when I'm not using it as a pool shade. It's versatile. It's portable. And it seems to be something that will last. Happy camper! ⛺️

My wife and I recently purchased the Clam Escape Quick-Set. It was very easy to set up. Read the directions before setting it up and you should be fine. We staked it down using the external stakes and ropes to the panel hubs, as well as the interior grommets. We had steady wind so we took the extra precaution as directed in the instructions. The issue we had was that one of the interior grommet tabs must not have been sewn in as well as the others. It ripped away from the shelter as seen in the pic. I will try to sew it back on as best I can until we get back to Florida this fall. There I can take it to an upholstery shop to have them all reinforced. This shelter replaced a Coleman screen tent we had had for 5 years. The elements eventually take their toll and that screen tent finally fell apart. We hope we can get at least that many years of use out of this unit.

I was in the market for a good quality 6-man tent, and found this on sale. Overall, it is an excellent, high end tent and I am mostly pleased. I do 3+ season camping in the sierras and desert, and foul weather happens. Thunder storms with hail and wind in the summer are common, so I needed a high-end tent with a good rainfly. The tent body is 4.5 stars, but the rainfly is only 3 stars. Body: The top of the body is all mesh with hooks for the poles. NO SLEEVES! The poles are beefy aluminum and should give years of service. The large back window and front wide (Hobbit) door are both mesh with good sized zippers. Decent stakes and a Footprint are included! I had to put the tent up in a slight wind, and the footprint does help. It also keeps the floor from being abraded on rocks. The bad: The only storage pockets are the four corners at floor level. There is a small, weak triangle mesh pocket at the center roof, but no other hooks or attachments inside the tent. Nowhere to hang anything! The Black body and gold floor are not great choices for a summer tent; It is HOT inside the tent in sunlight. Keeping the front door and back window open is a necessity. Rainfly: The rainfly covers the whole tent and does work well in gusty wind AS LONG AS ALL TIE POINTS ARE SECURED. I haven’t tested it in rain yet. The two roof vents are easy to open and have mesh so they won’t be used by critters as a door. There are six points it attaches to the body with clips on the outside. I already had some tarp poles that work great for the vestibule door. The Bad: There are no fewer than twelve places INSIDE the rainfly that secure the fly to the poles with Velcro straps. These are a PITA to attach when setting up, and are a PITA to unhook when breaking down. Not really needed with no wind, but I had a windstorm for two days and they were necessary. (The tent did well) The biggest issue is with the design of the Vestibule: It is too small! With the vestibule closed and you are inside the tent, you must almost crawl to the ground to open the zipper. You CAN open it from the top, but you risk ripping the zipper off track if you stumble when entering or exiting. Overall, this is a solid 4-star tent that will give years of 3 ½ season use.

  • Update (8/28/24): The support team was really helpful and sent me a replacement tent right away! I'm unsure if the same issue won't happen but bumping up a star for the quick assistance on my purchase. Original Review: I purchased this item to use for a weekend camping trip and for days I go to the beach. I'm not a hardcore camper so I wanted something simple and compact to use. When I first received the product, I loved it. It was light weight, spacious and simple to use. When I took it on my camping trip it was very cozy and survived the light rain throughout the weekend. When I used it for my second time at the beach, I noticed that the support rod was already snapped. It's really unfortunate because I did love this product until I saw that it wasn't as sturdy as I hoped.

  • Mosquito in Texas are hard to avoid. They make your outdoors activities unbearable. But not when you use this cute screen house! It comes folded in a zipped carry bag. It weights 9lb and diameter is 43", so make sure it will fit into you car (although it bends a bit) if you want to take it for travel. The folding/unfolding is a bit tricky, so watch the video provided by a seller & there are more videos on YouTube. Once you get a hang of it, it's a few seconds job. Really easy, but you need to practice it few times. The tent is sturdy and provides a total enclosure. Entrance is zipped. The net all around gives you an unobstructed view, great ventilation and UV protection. It could be secured with sandbags, but it's not recommended to use on really windy days. It gives you some protection from a light drizzle, but is not waterproof. It's 6'6" high so even tall people don't need to bend inside. And with 6' circle area it's spacious enough for a small table and 2-3 folding chairs. I am using it on my patio, when I want to sit down with a cool drink and read a book or do some work on the computer. You can set up a baby crib or a small playground for your toddler. Did I mention NO MOSQUITOS to bother you while you work or relax? That's the main reason why I bought it, and it works perfectly. Try it and you won't be disappointed.

Very sturdy. We live by the coast so my biggest worry is it will blow away. They seem tough, time will tell

We camp quite frequently at sites next to the beach and at the campsite I open up a 10’x10’ canopy. But I can’t use it at the beach on the sand. It is very heavy, with lots of metal. This beach tent allows us to be at the beach, protected from the sun, especially when resting and enjoying the sound of the waves. I waited for a pop-up tent because we stopped using tents with rods and strings inside. Those are a pain to setup, although they are light as well. This tent is as light and it has the popup mechanism which makes it a breeze 2-3 minutes to assemble and disassemble. Usually I set it up, let the air blows in in all directions and put the front flap down to get more covered real estate on the beach. It is a pleasure to carry such a light and small bag and in minutes end up with a very comfortable resting place. I even experimented with our inflatable (rechargeable battery) lounge chair.

I recently used this inflatable tent on a camping trip in the desert, and I couldn’t be happier with it! As a woman who often camps solo, I was a bit nervous about the setup, but it was so easy—it took me only 15 minutes. The tent has great airflow, keeping us comfortable even in warm weather, and it felt surprisingly cozy and warm during the night. It’s incredibly stable too; we had some wind, and it held up without any issues. Highly recommend this tent to anyone looking for a reliable and easy-to-use option for outdoor adventures!

  • First the size of this think is quite impressive. I did a dry run in my driveway with the kids and it was so large it was hard to even fit. Assembly was mildly difficult but not too bad especially considering the size. I wish there was a way to fold up or tuck away the screen room if it’s not needed. In my case I was in the driveway and unable to stake it down so it just hung there all loose and floppy as it needs to attach to the ground stakes to hold in place. The rain shield on top could use some improvements. Once you put it on the window facing the passenger side is now useless as the rain cover comes all the way down the outside of that wall. It should be more of an upside down U shape so that that window is still useable or at least have a flap that could be opened like the one at the rear side. You can’t really leave it off because of how big the top vents are and it’s not something easy put on and off as needed due to the size and height. The connections to the roof rack were a little small for my car (Tesla model Y) but they worked. When connection pounds were slightly awkward but I was able to hook them to the wheel covers. The part that goes under the car was very confusing. Ultimately I ended up just wadding it up and shoving it all under the bumper. There’s hooks and stuff there but their purpose isn’t clear as they seam to lift the tent in a awkward way. As mentioned before the size is the best feature. The tent is also quite heavy as a result. The canvas is very strong and the waterproof bottom is nice as well. Once assembled the strength is great. The top hook and gear shelf are also very nice. Overall happy with just a few mild disappointments.

I was looking for something that didn't take much space and I found it. The material seems thin but durable which makes it very easy to carry. The tent comes in one bag and the rain cover in another but both can easily fit in a backpack with other stuff. It's so easy to assemble as it literally it pops up on its own all you need to do is tie it down with the provided ropes and metal stakes. I would not say is for extreme weather but living in California I mostly want it to protect me from bugs and the rain cover mostly for privacy. The only trouble I had was to fold it back into the bag but once I read the instructions and practiced a couple of times now I can dismantle it and put everything away in less than 5 minutes. It's more spacious than I expected.

Went to a 4 day camping festival and wanted my own shower/bathroom tent so I went with this. It is very sturdy, higher quality than expected. Came with everything advertised, the bottom tarp, stakes and rope were a great bonus. You cannot see in the tent whatsoever when flashing a light on it or during the day, however if it is night time and you’re inside the tent with your flashlight on you can make out your silhouette from the outside. This made a world of a difference for my camping experience. Being far from bathrooms, this can be a life saver for those urgent moments. Very convenient and versatile to have. I had a portable toilet to set up when I needed to use it as a bathroom, and a portable shower when I needed to use it for that purpose, and the tarp came in handy then! Hung it to dry after, good to go and ready for next use. My camping neighbors even used it to change in as their tent was small, and this was over 6 ft tall! The added two air windows at the top and side and the pocket organizer it came with were a great bonus too. Only downside I have is that it was very hard to put away, folding it took me a long time. I finally learned the trick to it and it became very easy after. fold the top towards the bottom, and twist both ends at the same time and it will begin to fall in place, it seems difficult as it is sturdy but push hard and it will go. Overall very impressed. Recommend it.

I bought this tent to set up outside when playing so we had a shady area that would be easy to put up and take down. It took me more than 10 minutes to get it up in my husband had to actually help me. Once up does provide a nice shady area, however had I known what it would take to set up I probably would have opted for a different tent that was easier to set up and take down so we could use on as needed basis. I will probably keep it because we’ve already used it and it does come with a nice store in case that requires minimal space to store.

The concept of this item is good, but the workmanship is terrible. I have bought $15 tents that were made a lot better than what these were. Besides the little holes in the material, the seams has holes. The one tie strap was sewn into the seam so I could not use it. Even if I was to rub wax along the seams like I do for my camping tents, it would not of helped with those. It is also not as easy as it looks to fold back up.

  • Pros: -Good for people who are tired of crawl in tent set ups. -If you own a 10x10’ canopy, why not convert it into a tent setup? -Zip Open Windows give you open visibility all around - Floor and side are fully attached so no real chance of dirt or creepy crawlies coming in without you bringing em in yourself CONS: -RAIN. So the top is mesh only, meaning you HAVE TO have a canopy with a cover over it if you want to stay slightly dry, and by SLIGHTLY I mean… -The Mesh and sides DO NOT attach to the cover whatsoever. The side DO have hooks but they only attach to the frame, meaning there will be a slight gap and pretty good chance rain will start seeping in - JUST HOOKS, no way to really secure it any better, which in the photos I provided it looks like the tent is abit slacking. This was my first time using one and bought it to use for other camping trips im planning, so imma take some time to examine anyway I can make it function better. I will say most canopy coversarent waterproof or resistant so I may look into buying a better one for future purposes.
